That's just Bernabei saying he suspects a clear picture of Oswald (Prayer Man) and Lovelady was altered. Meanwhile there are photo analysis processes that could determine that the dark shadow Prayer Man is in matches the other dark shadows in the same picture and is therefore perfectly explainable.
Not sure what point I'm missing? It could be Bernabei's lack of photography knowledge that is to blame.
