Shocking historical amnesia corrected
From: Brasscheck TV <news@brasschecktv.com>
80 years ago... and no one
commemorated it.
What happened when veterans
marched on Washington DC to
collect the bonuses they'd been
promised for combat in WW I?

Tanks and CS against US Citizens seeking non-violent redress of grievance.
The Secret Team is no respecter of Our Constitution or WeThePeople, only the masters they serve have a passing respect.
"Pepper spray" and so called non-lethal "control" methods. Another lie protecting the Empire's enforcement branch of civilian service to the Secret Team.
These punks kill us, and as John Lennon implied they have learned to smile as they kill like the folks on (Capitol) hill. Attacking unarmed Americans with weapons is not the America I served with pride. Now though I know who my oppressors are.
In 1932, they killed children of Veterans and beat down disabled Veterans and their wives in the "raid" on the Bonus Marchers Camp in Anacostia. Blood lust is a funny thing and frightening when unleashed in the Civilian World of the U.S.A. That tiger refuses to be trapped back in its cage when loosed. Can we say Chicago 1968 black ops? I thought we could. Can we admit a "police riot" even when a federal investigation with its attending report stated exactly that in those terms?
That was then? How about 1970? Kent and Jackson State? Fred Hampton and others? Uniformed and not-uniformed assets of enforcement committed those foul deeds in the name of ... WeThePeople!
There is 1932 news reel footage of Doug MacArthur demonstrating for the assembled reporters the proper saber thrust to kill, and bragging about the means to do so.
I take hope from one aspect of this sad time, the HHoover sponsored attack in 1932 turned WeThePeople against Herbert the idiot. People starved for years since 1929 and finally this "incident", a set of abuses of the color of authority really, elected FDR in a landslide refutation of the GOP and Wall Street rule by Wealth.
Chickens home to roost indeed.
I am frightened when I consider another result of the Bonus March Attack. The formation of the Wealthy's Coup Attempt to harness the Veterans to support an overthrow of the USGovernment. This plot was only stopped by USMC General Smedley Butler when he exposed to Congress the approach of Morgan House representatives and other Secret Team Minions. The House Of Representatives covered up the facts, but reality is recorded in the original Congressional Record of that time.
For these events I only lightly touched upon, I HIGHLY Recommend a book by Mr. Jules Archer. It is titled "The Plot To Sieze The White House". I would seek the 1973 original version as it seems to be a little stronger than the redux.
Thanks Ms. Edison.

Yes Ma'am, kudos to you. Again.
This history needs to be recalled and TAUGHT in Our Public Schools.

Thank you, Jim, for your remarks. There is a History Channel Video of the 1933-34 attempted coup d'etat against the newly elected President Roosevelt, in which Jules Archer narrates a portion of it. I will try to locate it for you on You Tube. It's about 40 minutes long.
I learned of this when I was a young child from my father who had read of it in the newspapers. When John Kennedy was killed in 1963, just 30 years after the coup d'etat attempt in 1933 to place a fascist dictator in the president's position, I was immediately reminded of the earlier event, and it serves as a model for the assassination of John Kennedy in my mind. Many of the same peoiple and their families from Wall Street banking and industrial corporation interests who were opposed to Roosevelt were also opposed to President Kennedy and his policies. These links can eventually tell us why Kennedy was killed and by whom.
I could not find any hint of the attempted coup in American history texts. Jules Archer's book came out in 1973, 40 years after the event. Jules Archer had been 17 years old when it happened and wrote a wonderful book about it. You might be able to find a copy of his original book online. I remember that someone who was in the music business paid more than a couple hundred dollars for a copy and then posted a copy of the entire book on line, before the revised edition appeared on Amazon.com. Try a Google search, using the title of the book (The Plot Against the White House by Jules Archer). Good Luck..

This is the link to The Fascist Plot to Overthrow FDR (in full for 40:50 minutes). You can also watch it in four 10-minute segments under Business Plot to Overthrow FDR if you go to http://www.youtube.com
and enter those titles in the Search Box. There are also some good videos of Marine General Smedley Darlington Butler.

A Very important and little known piece of American History! The older version of the book is out of copyright and available HERE in pdf. A new version was recently reprinted, which the CIA attempted to buy up EVERY copy......but didn't succeed. Luckily, neither did the fascist coup [however those who paid for it to occur had very little done to them in terms of legal action of even public embarrassment and lived on, some to play a role in other coup attempts, assassinations, wars, covert operations etc. You won't find any of this in American History textbooks!
"Major General Smedley D. Butler revealed today that he has been asked by a group of wealthy New York brokers to lead a Fascist movement to set up a dictatorship in the United States."
The American Liberty League, which had brokerage head Grayson
M.-P. Murphy as its treasurer and Robert S. Clark as one of its financiers,
also had John W. Davis, alleged writer of the gold-standard speech for
Clark, as a member of the National Executive Committee. Its contributors
included representatives of the Morgan, Du Pont, Rockefeller, Pew, and
Mellon interests. Directors of the League included A1 Smith and John J.
Raskob. League later formed affiliations with pro-Fascist, antilabor, and
anti-Semitic organizations.

This is such an interesting piece of US history. You can see the continuity and the same families and ideology at work over generations.

Ms. Edison, Ms. Hassan and Mr. Lemkin and all:
Thanks.
That pdf file is a find. Even though I have the book, it is easier to archive and search the pdf.
Thanks Mr. Lemkin.
I misspoke above: The closet coup attempt was not quite a "result" of the Anacostia Massacre of 1932.
I beg pardon. The 2 events are in my view of the times, intertwined and inseparable.
When I think of Gen. Doug MacArthur our home grown fascist, I find comfort in the history of Ol' Gimlet Eye Gen. Smedley Butler and Gen. Chesty Puller. I have no respect for dugout Doug. Its personal.
I get very curious when ever I find hidden untaught history. Who done the hidin' and why and how?
More than a few years ago I wrote a longer piece about the Coup, Lord only knows if I can find it. It however would be preachin' to the choir in this company.
Someone told me to read Mr. Archer's book when it was released. In 1976 I shocked a 100 entry level Poly Sci "AI" when I wrote a " research paper" about the issues attending Gen. Butler and the Bonus Marchers and the Coup.
Sources were "The Masses" newspaper and Mr. Archers book with the Congressional Record.
I know it is long gone. But the Prof. liked it.
Coincidence Theorists, LNers for example, never seem to pick up on the fact that the same families and power holding groups pass through history in threads and coincidentally appear at darker moments in history.
I am sure I am not the only one that keeps a list of secret team players when they are forced to reveal themselves.
Ol' Gimlet Eye is one of four heroes I hold as real and not manufactured for public consumption.
Semper Fi General.
Happy New Year to all.

As Charles has pointed out previously, even Oliver Stone,in his new TV program, FAILED to provide the nation with this hidden history on his FDR episode. What a disappointment.........
