FWIW, I believe that Tatum was, as he says CIA, FBI and several other such three-letter agency connected. He knows more than he says, but is one of the few to say much of anything. Some of what he says is true information, other of it is misdirection and/or disinformation......it is for the good researcher to tease out which is which. FWIW, on balance, I think here he is telling more info than disinfo by far. Of course, he protects his life by not telling all he knows about any of the ops. This was his last known interview before he vanished shortly after.

Yes, Chip Tatum is a key that can help understand a lot of covert operations in his timeframe. As is Barry Seal. And, in a way, Gunther Russbacher. And Ari Ben Menashe. And in a slightly different way Oswald LeWinter and Richard Brenneke.
All of them are connected in more than one way.
The most relevant literature regarding what happened since September 11, 2001 is George Orwell's "1984".

The mechanic does not need to understand anything, but he has to be motivated for his actions. Consequently if you find the same mechanic in two events, seemingly independent from each other, you know that there is a connection. The same Sponsor, the same motivation. It is significant that people like Chip Tatum appear in more than one event. As do the others. Find their motivation and you will get nearer to the Sponsors.

While I understand your point Jan, we don't need the mechanics to know exactly what the sponsors were thinking or up to. We can put those puzzle pieces together ourselves, over time and with a lot of work...as can some of the brighter mechanics. We need truthful information - its the best we can get. No sponsor as far as I know has ever said anything truthful......and most have not spoken at all.
