Has a change been made?
#1
Apparently a new and unnecessary change has been made in
procedures, which is confusing. At least it is new to me.

Previously each time I open the forum, I click on NEW POSTS, and
all active threads are displayed, even ones I have read already.
The unread ones BOLD, and the read ones LIGHTER.

Now, an hour or so ago, I posted a reply...and when I returned to
the forum a little later, it is gone! I have not encountered this
before.

I finally found it under TODAY'S POSTS, with indications that it
has been moved from NEW POSTS to TODAY'S POSTS simply
because I had read it. This makes no sense to me.

Why have two categories when one suffices? From now on I
will ignore NEW POSTS, which I had previously used, and always
use TODAY'S...which shows both read AND unread subjects.

It wasn't broken. Why fix it?

There have been no changes made. 'Today's Posts' will have the post of the last 24 hours there. 'New Posts' will have the posts since you last checked. But I agree it is one part superfluous but it comes with this software. I'm pleased you did find it though, phew!
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

I think there are some software glitches happening because I've noticed that sometimes threads are not highlighted even when I haven't read a post but have simply logged on to the forum and then logged off without reading all posts/threads. I often have to concentrate on searching for "today's" posts instead.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

That is not the way it had been working. NEW POSTS included all posts
made that day, whether read or unread. Henceforth I will use only TODAY'S
POSTS.

Thanks.
