Ethically capitalism is appalling and based on theft and fraud. It is the nature of the beast and it is beastly. And it doesn't have to be this way. There are lots of other economic systems to use that are not based on these undesirable aspects but on more co-operative and egalitarian and just principles.

It is particularly prevalent when money is involved. And money most often is involved. The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort.
