Please visit my blog to view the hole in the windshield and the evidence of it being a front shot through the windshield of the limo that hit President Kennedy in the throat. I welcome debate here instead of my blog because the format here is so much better. If interested, please contact me at defiorejfk@gmail.com for my 300+ page research compilation on the trajectory of the front shot fired from the South Knoll Area of Dealey Plaza. I can send it to you via email or snail mail. TD

"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die." ~ EMK
I have never put much stock in a front windshield shot. A bullet striking thick protective glass at an angle would have been significantly deflected, and most likely would not have struck Kennedy.

Mr.Gray, please contact me at defiorejfk@gmail.com at I will send you my research. I think it will add to our debate. It wasn't thick protective glass ~ it was only safety glass. I once thought it was bullet proof. LBJ had that put in after the assassination. No doubt!
Have you looked into your opinion's conclusion or are you just stating it as a general opinion?
I ask since few of us are ever involved with gunshots... let alone thru windshields...
McHugh was removed from the center seat on purpose... for the first time.
It was just safety glass, no protective qualities at all
Why is it so hard to believe that a hi powered rifle shot of small caliber would not cleanly go thru the windshield?
Why else remove McHugh from the front seat?
And are you really trying to tell us that while the Assassiantion is chock full of fraud, had there NOT been a hole in the windshield there would have been detailed photos, illustrations and analysis of that windshield....
"See, a bone fragment was found in the windshield crack... a shot from behind." but alas, that did not happen.
What DID happen to that windshield Gordon? Something about duplicates I seem to remember....

All bullets will deflect to some degree when fired through glass, the degree of deflection is dependent on a variety of factors: type and velocity of bullet, type of glass, distance of muzzle to glass, distance of glass to the target, and most importantly the angle of incidence of the bullet strike to the glass. The greater the angle of incidence the greater the deflection. All bullets will deform somewhat when striking glass. Also they will begin to tumble after passing through glass. For this reason swat team snipers avoid shooting through glass except when absolutely necessary, because of the unpredictability. The alleged bullet hole in the windshield was to the driver's side of the rear view mirror, which would indicate a tangential strike of somewhere between 60 - 45 degrees. Also a tumbling and deformed bullet, should it have struck the president, would not have left a small puncture wound. A FMJ bullet, though it would deflect and deform, would still be likely to penetrate through the neck and exit from the rear, causing massive damage to the spine. Until recently bullet deflections through glass were regarded as unpredictable and certainly would have been so regarded by expert marksmen in the 60's. Here is a recent study that attempts to provide a table of deflection to be used by police snipers. You have to go to the PDF to read it. http://oai.dtic.mil/oai/oai?verb=getReco...=ADA283575
Speculation to the contrary notwithstanding, DeFiore's analysis proceeds from the wound described by Perry to the elimination of all other sources save the South Knoll.
Work by Weldon included the invaluable testimony of Whittaker the expert witness.
A bumblebee cannot fly.
We have calculations.
And yet the president suffered a wound to the tracheal rings above the knot not punctured by ballistics, but by nurses' urgency.
The forensics of Fiester's Chapter Seven together with the ample evidence generated in DeFiore on the testimony of eleven who saw the hole and the man who made the glass warrants at least reading some of the material being discussed.
Craig Roberts cited here:
6. A sixth shot strikes the windshield of the limo, penetrating the glass. "The presidential limousine, which had a bullet hole in the windshield, witnessed by two Dallas police officers, Sergeant Stavis Ellis and Patrolman H.R. Freeman, who saw it in the parking lot of the emergency room at Parkland, and by journalist Richard Dudman--made by a bullet from the front...noted the hole 'just left of center' in the windshield," wrote Craig Roberts in Kill Zone. "According to Ellis, it was not chipped glass at Parkland he saw. 'You could put a pencil through it.'
Richard Dudman:
Hole in Windshield
Another unexplained circumstance is a small hole in the windshield of the presidential limousine. This correspondent and one other man saw that hole, which resembled a bullet hole, as the automobile stood at the hospital emergency entrance while the President was being treated inside the building.
The Secret Service kept possession of the automobile and flew it back to Washington. A spokesman for the agency rejected a request to inspect the vehicle here. He declined to discuss any hole there might be in the windshield.

"Never believe anything until it's been officially denied"
... WHAT bullet hole??? Limo?.... I have no idea what you're talking about..."

There may or may not have been a bullet hole in the windshield, but such a bullet did not cause the throat wound unless it appeared other than Perry first describes. What evidence do we have as to the directionality of the alleged bullet hole, or that it struck anything else but the windshield, beyond conjecture? Here are a few more questions. What is the angle from Kennedy's position in the limo at Z189 and the N. corner of the S.Knoll and what or whom would such a line pass through? The same question for Kennedy at Z313.
