White House Call Girl is NOT the real reason for Watergate.
And that story has already been spun years ago.

I shudder to think how many more bogus books are being written at this very moment.

Watergate was a take down of Tricky Dick. It was obvious just from reading the damn newspapers as the events were occurring.

Little tidbits that slipped out were very very telling: The on purpose "bungling" of black bag "expert" McCord.

The communications being shit off, so that the "burglers" could not be told the police were there,

The downing of Dorothy Hunt's plane.

What did any of this have to do with a call girl ring?

The call girl ring does seem to be part of the story, though. Silent Coup goes into a lot of detail on it. For many decades, the CIA/FBI/MIC/Mafia and others have been using brothels to arrange for the blackmailing of powerful people. This probably goes on all the time, and it's one of the ways they control elected officials. The NSA was/is probably involved too.

Nixon isolated himself so much, and would only deal face-to-face with a handful of people, it was very easy for the CIA and others to infiltrate his "Plumbers" outfit and trap Nixon's people in a sting operation. I think originally they only intended to weaken Nixon, just to issue a warning to back off on China/USSR/arms control, etc., but then it escalated.
