Girl aged 3 asked to leave KFC because her face "scared customers"
#1
This really is one of those cases where the manager who did this should be taken outside and flayed. It must be hard enough as it is for that little girl to walk around being stared at, but to do this is unforgivable. Where is their humanity?

A three-year-old girl recovering from a severe pitbull attack in which she lost an eye was reportedly asked to leave a KFC restaurant because her appearance was scaring other customers'.

The family of Victoria Wilcher made their complaint public through a post on the Victoria's Victories' Facebook page, which was set up to chronicle the youngster's recovery.
"Does this face look scary to you?" the post reads, alongside an image of Victoria."Last week at KFC in Jackson MS this precious face was asked to leave because her face scared the other diners."
KFC spokesman Rick Maynard said the company had launched an investigation into the incident. "We take this very seriously, as we have zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions toward our guests," he said.
"Our investigation is ongoing, but we have been in touch with the family and are committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family." The company also responded directly through Facebook with a comment underneath the family's post.
Victoria, from Mississippi, was savagely attacked by three pit bulls which dragged her from her grandfather's trailer in April.
As well as losing an eye, her upper and lower jaw, nose and cheek bones were broken in the attack, her family said in a Facebook post. As a result she has lost the ability to move the right side of her face.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Poor wee thing! As if she hasn't been through enough and is probably already painfully conscious of her disfigurement some bastard has to rub it in and humiliate and reject her. This man need to lose his job. Appalling customer service. Inhuman. Only pretty children allowed in his restaurant so as not to damage the corporate image.

Anyway, she is still as cute as a button regardless of what has happened. How could they not see that?

At KFC, those "bowls" that they have where the food is all mixed up together is already sort of horror show, so they have nothing to complain about.

I predict a day or 2 of people wearing cosmetic scars to KFC in protest.

Neither do I. I heard from Angela Davis when she was here in Sydney that KFC was heavily involved through their parent company in the private prison industry. Wakenhut if I recall correctly. Never bought it since then. This would be just another reason not to.

So they're giving her $30,000 for medical expenses. A drop in the bucket. But there is also a lot of media attention and now people can contribute, so out of this mess will come some good for this little angel.

Yes, a small good...but a major bad - NO COMPANY by law can discriminate on the way a person looks - whether that 'look' is due to how they were born or how they were disfigured by trauma or disease. Sue the bastards is what I'd do!!!

KFC should discriminate against people with congestive heart failure, diabetics, people with high blood pressure, and obese people. But that would be better than half their customer base.
(No insult intended - I qualify for 3 of those 4 categories)
