Wow, you're certainly onto the scent tonight Jan.
Interesting about Opus Dei. Both Catholicism and Islam are feudal based organisations as is the monarchy and all who sail in her.
I had no idea Chico was based on a 'true' story. I thought it was fiction. An interesting story. No wonder the Serbs think it BS.
I want to read through much in these posts i moj Srpsko-Hrvatski jezika nije dobro.
Want to find out more about 'The Vanguard' in Spain too. And get hubby to translate the Hungarian.

So, Rosza Flores claims his father is a Hungarian Jew, and his mother is Spanish and devout - presumably Catholic. Note he claims his mother is Spanish, not Bolivian.
Rosza Flores enthusiastically leads a Croatian dirty tricks squad, and must have been in and around the ethnic cleansing - along racial and religious lines - that defined the Balkan Wars of the 1990s
He's an Opus Dei member - an extreme Catholic organization. Indeed, he's a spokesman for Opus Dei. Yet he also converted to Islam in 1995, and claims he is a Muslim.
He also claims to be openly pro-Palestinian and anti the state of Israel. Despite claiming to have a Jewish father.
Then again, he's allegedly a member of Jobbik - a racist far right Hungarian party, which would probably gladly ethnically cleanse the Roma given half a chance.

At the bigger level, one senses a man trying to create his own legend. In Bolivia, he could have been a powerful and charismatic leader.
His blog also claims he's a National Anarchist.
My best guess is that this is an attempt to reinvent National Socialism - with all its mystical garb.

I am finding the inconsistency about the Bolivian/Spanish mother interesting. More like to have indian blood if Bolvian. Don't know what this means at the moment

Quote:He was born in Santa Cruz in 1960 of a Hungarian father and Spanish mother. The family moved to Chile in 1972, then to Sweden and, in 1975, to Hungary.
This is telling. He did not come to Chile from Europe as I had originally thought. Did the father go via Spain and pick up a Spanish wife and move to Bolivia (paperclip) Or did he go alone to Bolvia and pick up a Bolivian wife? In any case Rosza Flores was born in Bolivia and it seems the family did not move to Chile until after Allende was elected. Perhaps they were sent there to remove him from with in. Just speculating. Definitely there were some Chilean refugees went to Sweeden but not many would have gone from there to Hungary but we will make enquiries tomorrow as we know one Chilean family who live in both Sweeden and Hungary. Coincidentally.
Santa Cruz is a pretty ritzy area and the hotel they were staying is is pretty swanky too. It wasn't the local youth hostel any way. The mother as well as changing from Spanish to Bolivian also changes from Catholic to Jewish. Perhaps two women. Perhaps a very 'class' conscious ambitious woman.

This one says:
Quote:Jorge Rózsa was a Hungarian of Jewish descent, and a convinced Communist, but his mother, Nelly Flores, a Bolivian deep religious beliefs
Quote:Roszas relates that he lived in Chile during the last year the government of Salvador Allende and was there that he finished his childhood, he ruled that the commitment in his life is not the individual who counts, but the cause, values. Hay que tomar partido. We must take sides. Si no, no tiene ningun sentido este nuestro paso fugaz por el mundo... If not, it makes no sense that our world step by fleeting ...
Quote:Roszas indicates that after some time in the Hungarian military schools, were sent to complete your training at the academy FE Dzerzhinski in the former Soviet Union, where he was disappointed in the "real socialism."

He claims his father was somehow linked with Che Guevara:
Quote:My father was expelled from the Communist Party (PC) following the Bolivian guerrilla, and his work as one which had taken over the task of helping in terms of logistics. “El Che, para mi, entre otras cosas, fue una víctima más del estalinismo. "El Che, for me, among other things, was a victim of Stalinism. Y como militar, un ejemplo. And as military, an example. Ejemplo como pensador militar, y ejemplo en lo moral también”, añade. Thinker such as military, and moral example as well, "he adds.
Rosza Flores then seems to become a follower of Carlos the Jackal, whilst simultaneously a rabid anti-communist.

I had no idea Felix Rodriguez was a Stalinist.

Some were sent there but only the brightest and best. Some people were disappointed with socialism when they realized that in a socialist society you still had to work in some way (or not eat)

And I wonder if he followed him so much that he lead others on to his trial? Not everyone in the Bolivian CP would have even known of his existence in the country. Just a few. Given the families questionable back ground I would not be too sure whose side he was on.

The father:
Quote:An April 13, 1923 born in Budapest, Hungary, Jorge Rózsa Obermayer, the artist that will convey how to paint a generation of painters Cruz of the sixties.
In 1946 graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Budapest to mention in Architectural Design in Theory of Art and Painting.
In 1942 he won a third prize in an international competition in Florence, Italy. That same year wrote a comprehensive and documented book on El Greco.
Between 1946 and 1947 he studied on Egyptian art in Paris at L'Ecole de Louvre, with a grant from the government of France.
In 1952, as a member of a French ethnographic mission, arrived in Bolivia to stay in La Paz first and then in Santa Cruz, where he was a family town with Nelly Flores, Santa Cruz lady who gave him two sons.

Quote: -Eduardo Rozsa Flores, the last anarchist
The three deaths are two Hungarian nationals and one Irish. One of the two but is Hungary-Eduardo Rozsa Flores. And Rozsa - Flores is not an unknown quantity.
He is also not really a foreigner. Rather, he was in 1960 in Santa Cruz was born. His father, Jorge Rozsa was a painter and art educator Hungarian-Jewish origin, 1953 on Paris came to Bolivia, where he Nelly Flores, a teacher of Catalan origin, married. Jorge except art Rozsa had another passion, Communism, and thus probably also sympathy for the guerrilla guevaristische. So he went with his family in 1972, after a coup of Hugo Banzer to exile, Allende in Chile. After his overthrow verschlug it is the family-Rozsa Flores, after a stopover in Sweden, 1975 to the real socialist Budapest, the birthplace of Jorge Rozsa.
The adolescent son of a cosmopolitan family, Eduardo, is for a military career provided he attends the relevant Kossuth School and also a host course of the Soviet Academy Dscherschinski, but in the bureaucracy and rut degenerate real socialism makes him less and less joy. After three years he goes to university, to philology and journalism.
As a result, he works as a correspondent of the Budapest-Cuban Prensa Latina, and writes for the Catalan La Vanguardia. In the eighties he meets in Budapest at the notorious Venezuelan terrorist Carlos, who is deeply impressed. His big time as a journalist come with the fall of 1989 and especially with the Balkan wars from 1991.

"The last anarchist" - I can see MSM picking up and running with this.
Whilst ignoring all the far-right Jobbik & National Anarchist/Nazi mysticism links. Ignoring the Opus Dei connections. Ignoring the fact that he created and ran a Croatian dirty tricks organization, was made a Major by the butcher Tudjman, and is alleged to have executed investigative journalists who were about to expose the nature of his "Croatian International Brigade" and its backers.

So, not exactly a Jewish refugee fleeing the Nazis in 1952.

Not usually regarded as Spanish either unless you are Spanish or aspire to be Spanish. Same with Basque.
