Anyone read this book on Clinton/Bush/CIA?
#11
I'm really not sure what to think. I'm not reluctant to believe any dark disclosures about the Clintons; I think they're scum.

But didn't Scaife spend years and millions trying to dig up ruinous dirt on then Governor/Presidential candidate Clinton and only come up with Blackwater and some idiotic Arkansas state troopers/bimbo erruptions? (Source: The Hunting of the President: The Ten-Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton by Joe Conason)

Were the secrets just too well hidden? Did Joe Conason miss the big picture?

Great piece by Baker. Every idea in it a gem. Bush 41 and his idiot son are part of the wider 'cancer' long needing emergency 'surgery' - and killing the host [America and the Planet] by being ignored......IMO.

How come we constantly hear the BS term "dynasty" from the media when the subject is the Kennedys. Yet we never hear the appropriate term "dynasty" from those lying bastards in association with the Bush klan?

Never mind. I think I answered my own question.

-Overwhelming and painstakingly documented evidence that the senior Bush lied when he claimed not to remember where he was on Nov. 22, 1963, the day JFK was shot, and that, in fact, he was in Dallas, working for the CIA, and closely associated with a small web of figures directly tied to Lee Harvey Oswald, the control of JFK’s motorcade, the Texas School Book Depository, and other crucial aspects of the events of that day.
...
-A body of facts strongly indicating that the same interests, working through the CIA, that removed JFK from power—a group that appears to have included the senior Bush—also took action to cause Richard Nixon to be removed from power. This is of urgent importance because it helps to provide some sense of why Barack Obama has continued to kowtow to major power centers—CIA, military, defense contractors, oil companies, Wall Street—because, simply put, he has absolutely no choice.
...
The tragic thing is that without a big picture, we lack context on where we are as a country, and where we are going. In this vacuum the elder Bush is able to continue to be treated as a gracious statesman, and his son is busy rehabilitating his image. The rest of us remain largely in the dark on the who, the what, and the why of the world we inhabit.
Russ Baker is an investigative journalist and founder of the nonprofit reporting website whowhatwhy.com. His latest book, "Family of Secrets: the Bush Dynasty, the Powerful Forces That Put It in the White House, and What Their Influence Means for America," now available in hardcover, will be published in paperback this fall. Gore Vidal calls it "one of the most important books of the past ten years."

This looks like a must read.

Compromised is a real page turner. When I got it in the late 90's I could not put it down. You can likely get it pretty cheap used.

The author was approached to use his computer numeric control machinist skills to correct problems with illegal lower receivers following Boland.

Reed was part of a fascinating secret op in Vietnam described early in introducing him.

He trained two dozen pilots in twin engine operations at the black strip in Mena.

His contacts included Oliver North and Max Gomez/Felix Rodriguez.

He attends a meeting in a military bunker guarded by Buddy Young in which Oliver North and Bill Clinton have words.

Reed is targeted for assassination, for a drug-smuggling frame-up, made to feel the heat for his part in the black op which was Mena 83-4.

We see Barry Seal taken out in deniable fashion.

Reed's is the biggest window opened yet on a chapter which never happened.
