What's wrong with this picture?

Here is a picture of the view from the roof of the County Records building in 1963 (where a 30.06 rifle casing was found in 1975).

That tree is almost (?) blocking a shot from this location to where the head shot occurred. This picture also discredits the mysterious assassin "Saul" whom Hugh McDonald credits with admitting the head shot. Saul was supposedly on the second floor, forty feet straight down from this view. There is no doubt that the "almost blocking" tree in this picture would completely obscure the Presidential limo at the time of the head shot from the second floor of this building.

I might shoulda drawn a slightly bigger box, but you get the point.

The Dal-Tex bldg is the only building in the rear that has a clear, straight shot down Elm Street.

Except according to the FBI and Secret Service the final shot occurs 40 feet further down Elm at the foot of the stairs.

How is the view to that point from the court house?

I agree that the roof looks clear but the second floor, no way.

Just making sure there's no misunderstanding, David... You labeled that view file County Court, it's actually the County Records Building, the Courthouse is actually same block, but one building south.

Thanks for catching that Drew... and for knowing what I meant :Cheersdrunk:

There was a four man sniper team in Chicago - it really isn't so far-fetched to assume the same number in DP.
