So they drag out the Mexico City story without providing the context that:
1. Hoover told LBJ on the night of 11/22 or early in the morning of 11/23 that the neither the voice on the tape nor man in the photo supplied by the CIA were Oswald.
2. CIA operatives controlled by David Atlee Phillips were spreading stories about an Oswald-Castro-KGB link that were almost immediately discredited by the FBI (who is the conspiracy theorist here?)
3. The Lopez report demolishes the Warren Commission version of the Mexico City story and raises serious doubts that Oswald was ever there.
4. If Oswald was in Mexico City and traveled by the route and means described by the WC then he couldn't have been at Sylvia Odio's house in the same time frame and no one has been able to discredit Odio's story meaning Oswald was certainly impersonated either in MC or at Odio's house.
5. The descriptions given by the Cuban consulate employees did not match Oswald's actual appearance and they failed to identify the LHO arrested in Dallas as that man.
6. Sylvia Duran was arrested (more than once IIRC) and tortured by the Mexican authorities.
7. Anne Goodpasture and David Phillips were about to be indicted for perjury by the HSCA but were saved by the Sprague/Blakey regime change.
So forgive me if I don't put a lot of trust in a briefing given by an organization that employed in high positions those who should have been considered among the chief suspects.
