I have now read the William Ramsay book: Aleister Crowley, 9/11 and the New World Order.
This, for me, was very largely - if not almost exclusively - a book on the life and occult practises of Crowley, and was very well researched. Crowley has very clearly consumed Crowley's writings and those of others associated with him, in his effort to understand the Great Beast. The chapter on 9/11 was really, really, extremely slim - and disappointing because of that.
I came away unconvinced that Thelemites were behind 9/11.
However, I think there is a good case that occult numbers did play a not insignificant role in 9/11.
For me the number 77 stood out principally because:
Poppy Bush wearing a Skull and Bones cap displaying number 77. The other symbol on the cap is a representation of the seven rays, I think.
And secondly:
The US aircraft carrier George H W Bush - designated CVN 77.
And, in passing the 7th letter of the alphabet is the letter G (a not unimportant Freemasonic number) and if we attach that to the number 7 itself we end up with G7 - those nations with the advanced economies.
Coincidence? I don't think so.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
