Donald Trump featured in terrorist recruitment video

A newly released video from the terrorist group Al-Shabaab uses footage of Donald Trump to recruit new members. According to media reports, the 51-minute video from the Somalia-based group with ties to al-Qaeda uses footage from the Republican presidential candidate's speech last month calling for a ban on Muslim immigration to the U.S.

"There are ominous clouds gathering in your horizon," al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki says in an archival sound bite used in the video. "Yesterday, America was a land of slavery, segregation, lynching, and Ku Klux Klan. And tomorrow it will be a land of religious discrimination and concentration camps." The video then cuts to Trump's Dec. 7 rally in South Carolina, where the candidate called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on." "The West will eventually turn against its Muslim citizens," warns al-Awlaki, who was killed by a U.S. drone strike in 2011. The recruitment video also calls on black Americans to convert to Islam, citing recent tensions with police and the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and Walter Scott in South Carolina.

The release of the video follows Hillary Clinton calling Trump "ISIS' best recruiter" during December's Democratic primary debate. "They are going to people, showing them videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists," she said. At the time, the political fact-checking website PolitiFact evaluated the claim, but could not find any evidence to support it. "We were unable to find any evidence to support this ... If ISIS was using Trump for recruitment videos, we would expect a frenzy of media coverage over it. We rate this claim False," the site wrote. Trump tweeted last month, "Hillary Clinton lied when she said that 'ISIS is using video of Donald Trump as a recruiting tool.' This was fact checked by @FoxNews: FALSE."

Simply amazing that Clinton could gaze into the future and predict this moment; almost as if she knew this was going to happen. Gazing into my own imaginary crystal ball, I forsee other recruitment videos featuring Cruz, and Rubio, or whoever else claws their way to the top of the Republican feeding frenzy.

Amazing...prescient. ::fortuneteller::

I think that claim about Trump is absolute crap, just jerky, trendy nonsense; however, RT's Thom Hartmann last night ended on an interesting note saying the Republicans have very effectively fostered and encouraged terrorism - "Republicans are as good as Jihadi John in encouraging terrorism" is a close quote.
Martin Luther King - "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Albert Camus - "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion".
Douglas MacArthur — "Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons."
Albert Camus - "Nothing is more despicable than respect based on fear."

What a sad state of affairs for the Party of Lincoln to have someone like Donald Trump being its present standard bearer ::thumbsdown::

Before casting a vote for Mr. Trump for even dog-catcher, I would rather take every telephone directory in the country, place them on a board room table, get spun around several times after being blind-folded, and simply reach down on the table to pick up one of those directories, pull it open and set my forefinger upon a name.

Rather than address genuine issues affecting real Americans everyday, he and his Republican cohorts would rather inflame hatred. The RNC should be ashamed that a message of hate is the best the Party of Lincoln can offer.

Hillary called Trump a "conspiracy theorist" in a speech yesterday that criticized Trumps fitness for the presidency.

Hillary is posing herself as a stable guide in helping people determine what is a conspiracy theory. No mention of the cover-up of Flight 800 during her husband's presidency.

I wonder if Trump will recall the "vast right wing conspiracy" MSM statement she made defending Slick Willie.
