Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock

I went to the Cow Palace in 1968 with many bands scheduled including an unknown band named "Santana." The best band of all of them.

A nice clip of the band when Neal Schon (later in Journey) was a member:

They've done quite well for themselves since then. Carlos Santana is a beautiful soul too. He has quietly assisted many many impoverished musicians especially younger ones.

Oh boy, blast from the past. I'm a big fan of Santana and bought the first album.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

The kid drummer in the Woodstock version of Soul Sacrifice is Michael Shrieve. Here's his FB page. He mentions meeting Jimmy Page recently, who told him how much John Bonham was of his playing. His response: "Are you f*cking kidding me?" After all these, he's still playing and lives across the Cascades in Seattle.

The headliners at Woodstock were Creedence Clearwater Revival, who came on late (in the early morning hours) because the Dead played too long. John Fogerty wasn't happy with their performance and so didn't want to be included in the original film or soundtrack album.
