"Justice Scalia spent his last hours with members of this secretive society of elite hunters"
#31
There seems to be a lot of misinformation and speculation going on.....but the picture is far from clear or normal. No guard, at this weird ranch, the way he was confirmed to have died of natural causes by people not trained to know and over the phone, the pillow, and it goes on and on....... However, I'd not expect an inquest....America is famous for not having them...or if they 'have one' the truth not being told. At this point, his politics and judicial ideas [which I detest] are not important....for better or for worse [I think the worse] he was a Supreme Court Justice and died mysteriously - or at least it is FAR from clear that he did not!...and nothing but guesses, gossip and a lot of it false going on; and some very dark theories that might fit a dark scenario, but as yet unproven....very strange indeed.

The owner of the Cibola Creek Resort, the Texas ranch where Scalia died, is a rather interesting fellow.

John B. Poindexter is a minor league contributor to the Democratic Party: $19,000 over 6 years. He is however, undoubtedly very wealthy. His main company, JB Poindexter, is the "largest manufacturer of large truck frames in the world." John Poindexter has been associated with fourteen companies, according to public records. The companies were formed over a thirty-six year period with the most recent being incorporated two years ago in 2014, The Cibolo Creek Resort LLC. Nine of the companies are still active while the remaining five are now listed as inactive. (More of his corporate holdings and interests are listed at the end of this document.) He serves on the Boards or Councils of several charitable organizations and academic institutions and has authored a number of privately published works. Mr. Poindexter holds an M.B.A. and Ph.D in Economics and Finance from New York University.

He was once captain of the Vietnam War combat unit, Alpha Troop, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He worked for many years and lobbied three presidents to direct attention to the heroism of his combat unit in a fight not officially recorded during the Vietnam War. His unit apparently, without authorization or orders, moved off its assigned position to assist another unit in danger of being annihilated. The other unit was "quite close" to the Cambodian border. Their appearance on the battlefield surprised the NVA, and saved the day for the endangered servicemen. Obama recently made the overdue awards:

(If you think carefully about that, you might understand why this incident was never mentioned in the official histories, nor citations given, for decades. The fact that his unit was able to surprise the NVA probably means one of three things: a) The fact that US army units were rarely able to surprise the NVA means that the chain of command structure of the military was unable to adjust to realtime disasters, which fact was relied upon by the NVA, or b) 11[SUP]th[/SUP] Alpha did something outside its usual orders of engagement that was unexpected (like, say, hiking through Cambodia to get there), or c) The NVA were somehow aware that no other units had been ordered to move to assist, and the "surprise" was that 11[SUP]th[/SUP] Alpha disobeyed orders.)

The big land grab:

According to Texas Monthly (http://www.texasmonthly.com/articles/the...white-hat/) Poindexter attempted to buy a massive chunk of land, 46,000 acres, from Texas' Big Bend State Park (adjacent to Cibolo Creek Resort) for an astonishingly low price $43.00 per acre, but was thwarted at the last minute by the massive public outcry from conservationists and other civic minded Texans, (despite the official sanction of Rick Perry's Texas Parks and Wildlife organization).

Now, on to the weird stuff. "John is a Prior of the International Order of St. Hubertus, a 325-year-old association of North American and European sportsmen." Source: http://www.jbpoindexter.com/professional...dexter.htm

[TD]The International Order of Saint Hubert is named after Hubert, the Holy Patron of sport hunters and fishermen, and the prototype of the best traditions in fair chase. He is also the Patron of bow men, trappers, fur hunters, mathematics, blacksmiths and hound trainers. The Venerable Order of Saint Hubert was founded by the Count Anton von Spork in 1695 and in May 10, 1950 was restored under the name of the International Order of Saint Hubert. The International Order of Saint Hubert works to improve hunting legislation, actively participating in the publishing of the New Wild Life Act. At the present time, they work diligently in the improvement of this law and the Law of Sports Guns and promoting of the teaching and education related on "Safe and Responsible Hunting". The Protector of the Order is King Juan Carlos I of Spain. The Mission of the Order is reflected by its motto: "Deum diligite, animalia diligentes" "Work for God working for his creatures". (hmm, not an accurate translation) The current Great Master is the Archduke Andreas Salvatore Habsburg-Lothringen.

History of the Order:

The Venerable Order of Saint Hubertus was corporate in 1695 by Count Anton von Spork, gathering the greatest noble hunters up to the XX Century, mainly in Austria and countries of the Austro Hungarian Empire, ruled by the Habsbugs. In 1938, when Austria was absorbed by the III Reich, Herman Göring demanded membership on the Order and executed the Grand Prior when he denied. At the cease fire of the II WW, hunters survivors, members all of the Order, were authorized by young Halvor O. Ekern, chief political advisor of the US Armed Forces to use their sporting guns to provide winter food to the rural population, avoiding not only the famine but saving the whole country to fall under the Iron Curtain.

To the end of the war, when Austria came free again, the Order was restituted by Albert Franz Messany on may 1st 1950, at the request of the chancellor Figi of Austria. The name of the restituted Order is since: International Order of St. Hubertus. It is the restitution of the Venerable Order of St. Hubertus. Mr. Ekern, who just past away in 2006, was one of the first to be invited to be a member of the restituted Order along with Llewellyn E. Thompson, USA Ambassador, General Mark W. Clark, Comanding General of the Allied Forces in Austria, George U. Wood, Baron Harold Anthony Craccia and others. There are Chapters of the Order in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States of North America.

In 1966 George Wood was appointed Grand Prior and founded the American Chapter in 1968. The first Investiture of American Knights took place at the Bohemian Club in San Francisco. Presided the Restitutor, then Grand Master Messany. In 1975, GM Messany retired and George Wood was elected Grand Master, being replaced by Karl Christian Weber in 1979. In 1985, the Grand Master Weber ask Archduke Andreas Salvatore von Habsburg-Lothringen as Lord Protector (Schirmherr). January 8, 1991 GM Weber ask Archduke Andreas to take Charge of the Grand Master's office. Archduke Andreas did so and His Royal Highness Juan Carlos I, King of Spain took the position of Lord Protector of the Order. They both still in charge today. Grand Master Weber died in April 1991 after 20 years of effort to the Order, eleven of then as Grand Master.

From Google "Order of St. Hubert". Don't know if its the same order as "Huburtus," but notice the similarities to the cross insignia on the cloaks. This also vaguely looks like a Templar Cross.

This material from the Houston Post:

Reed Morian, Downey Bridgewater, John HYPERLINK "http://www.chron.com/search/?action=search&channel=life%2Fsociety&inlineLink=1&searchindex=gsa&query=%22John+Kotts%22"Kotts, Ed Jones and James Nicholson have been knighted in the Order of St. Hubertus, the highest honor for international hunting enthusiasts. Founded in the late 17th century, the order has 250 U.S. members and 600 worldwide. The Southwest Priory, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico, is the largest member chapter according to its leader, Houstonian John Poindexter
The new knights joined Keith Moseing, Boysie Bollinger, John Kelsey, Scotty Arnoldy, VidalMartinez, John Barksdale and Phil John for a ceremony-filled weekend in Washington, D.C. that included a cocktail reception at the Belgian Ambassador's residence, black-tie dinners at Plume and the Metropolitan Club and a white-tie ball at the Mayflower Hotel.

Dressed in white tails, the gentleman were dubbed with a sword before donning forest-green capes with embroidered Maltese crosses.

Is this just a dress-up game for grown men? Is this a Freemasonry-inspired clone? Perhaps someone with more experience researching secret societies might be able to enlighten us.

Yes. Some things of interest here. Initially I thought he may be related to the other Poindexter of Iran Contra infamy but it seems they are not the same family or distant if they are. John M Poindexter's family is from Ohio whereas John B's family is Texan bred.

Looking for the usual suspects and connections here.

Magda: The Poindexter family is huge. They have their own family history website. http://www.poindexterfamily.org/history/ Tom Scully seems to be a natural for that project.

Love the baby spork!

Another question I have is if the "social group" that Scalia went to meet with had anything to do with this Order of St. Huburtus.

There are so many Poindexter-owned companies, but I'll try to dig through Supreme Court litigants and see what I can find.

As much as the pedophilia line of thought falls into the category of highly speculative, the thought occurs that this hunting society was a cover for an elite pedo party. And then of course the question is raised: What or who were they hunting?

Legal to hunt in early Feb. in South Texas: Light Geese, Quail, Rabbit, Squirrel, Snipe. (I suppose Jackalope are always in season. You can also try to hunt the elusive Marfa Lights, but shooting at them is considered bad form, since most "sightings" of the Marfa Lights are headlights... and if they ARE aliens, shooting might not be all that smart.)

I found this case here: Hinga v. MIC Group (a subsidiary of JB Poindexter). Hinga was a 76 year old machinist at a MIC plant, who was blamed for a recall of a batch of actuators that didn't meet specifications. Hinga, and the guy who was supposed to inspect his parts, were fired. Both of the men represented that they had properly inspected the actuators, but a company investigation found them at fault and fired them. The investigation also revealed that the machines Hinga was working on were improperly maintained (not Hinga's fault, but that didn't seem to matter). The recall cost MIC $194,000. Hinga, 76, and a pre-existing employee of MIC when Poindexter acquired them, filed for age discrimination.

The US District court ruled that Hinga had not set forth a prima facie case of age discrimination because he had not produced evidence that younger employees who were not discharged were similarly situated (Hinga was the only machinist fired, indeed, he was the only machinist who made these parts). The district court also found, alternatively, that Hinga did not demonstrate a genuine dispute that MIC's proffered reason for his termination was pretextual (despite the improper maintenance finding in the investigation). These findings effectively denied Hinga relief, and he appealed.

The 5[SUP]th[/SUP] Circuit (in my humble experience and opinion, a bad place to argue an employment discrimination case) ruled, in an unpublished opinion: "Without evidence of the same job responsibilities, nearly identical conduct, or similar violation histories, there is no prima facie case of discrimination." (The Court didn't seem to care that there was no one else with Hinga's job duties.) (http://www.ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/unp...0616.0.pdf)

Hinga filed an application for a writ of certiorari to the US Supreme Court on 7/29/15. On 10/5/15, the Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal. In February 2016, Justice Scalia got a free flight to the hunting resort owned by JB Poindexter, where his stay was also comped. Had he not died in bed there, this event likely would have never been noticed.

The New York Times says of the current Supreme Court: "There is little doubt, statistically, that the Supreme Court presided over by Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. has been more sympathetic to corporate interests than any court since World War II." http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/19/opinio....html?_r=0

The Atlanta Journal calls the Scalia-Roberts-Alito-Thomas-Kennedy court "an enforcer of corporate power."

Minnesota Law Review: 5 judges mentioned above are all in the top 10 most business friendly justices in their eras.

It is clear that this election, and the arguments over whether Obama can appoint a new justice, clearly matter a great deal to corporate interests.

Scalia's failure to report a travel benefit from 2007-2008:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...?tid=a_inl

"Thomas and Scalia have been criticized by a public interest group for attending private political meetings sponsored in January 2007 and 2008 by David and Charles Koch, conservative billionaires who made large contributions during last year's election and have financially backed the tea party movement. Precisely what happened at those meetings remains unclear, but n[U]either of the justices' routine financial disclosures mentioned that the Kochs had organized the events. [/U]Supporters of reform say that would change if the same ethics rules that applied to lesser judges were applied to the Supreme Court.

The Kochs own oil, gas and paper businesses involved in hundreds of legal cases in federal court. The nonprofit group Common Cause has complained that the controversial Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision on campaign financing last year - on a narrow majority backed by Thomas and Scalia - opened the door to heightened corporate contributions from the Koch empire. "

"When Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died 11 days ago at a West Texas ranch, he was among high-ranking members of an exclusive fraternity for hunters called the International Order of St. Hubertus, an Austrian society that dates back to the 1600s."

"Members of the worldwide, male-only society wear dark-green robes emblazoned with a large cross and the motto "Deum Diligite Animalia Diligentes," which means "Honoring God by honoring His creatures," according to the group's website. Some hold titles, such as Grand Master, Prior and Knight Grand Officer. The Order's name is in honor of Hubert, the patron saint of hunters and fishermen."

"The International Order of St. Hubertus, according to its website, is a "true knightly order in the historical tradition." In 1695, Count Franz Anton von Sporck founded the society in Bohemia, which is in modern-day Czech Republic.

The group's Grand Master is "His Imperial Highness Istvan von Habsburg-Lothringen, Archduke of Austria," according to the Order's website. The next gathering for "Ordensbrothers" and guests is an "investiture" March 10 in Charleston, S.C.

The society's U.S. chapter launched in 1966 at the famous Bohemian Club in San Francisco, which is associated with the all-male Bohemian Grove one of the most well-known secret societies in the country."

"Sheriff Danny Dominguez confirmed that a photograph of Washington lawyer C. Allen Foster is the same man he interviewed at the ranch the day of Scalia's death.

From Houston, Scalia and Foster chartered a plane without the marshals to the Cibolo Creek Ranch airstrip. In a statement after Scalia died, the U.S. Marshals Service said that Scalia had declined a security detail while at the ranch.

The friend, Louisiana-born Foster, is a lawyer with the Washington firm Whiteford, Taylor & Preston. He is also known for his passion for hunting and is a former spokesman for the hunting group Safari Club.

In 2006, Foster was featured in The Post when he celebrated his 65th birthday with a six-day celebration in the Czech Republic. He flew his family and 40 Washington friends there to stay in Moravia's Zidlochovice, a baroque castle and hunting park. The birthday bash included "tours of the Czech countryside, wine tasting, wild boar and mouflon (wild sheep) hunts, classic dance instruction and a masked costume ball.""

The "hunting group Safari Club"? The International Order of St. Hubertus? Bohemian Grove? Bohemia?
