Egypt Air flight MS804 goes off radar en route from Paris
#21
I know Peter. I'm one of the most active internet counter-propaganda posters on the issue and have out-argued many obvious government internet ops posters on the evidence.

I actually witnessed Flight 800 take-off, which is why I took it to heart from day one and knew they were lying.

EgyptAir flight data shows smoke detected in bathroom before crash: Report
NBC NEWS

Data transmitted from a doomed EgyptAir flight minutes before it fell off radar screens suggests a fire had broken out on board the plane, according to an aviation industry website. AvHerald.com is reporting that data transmissions from EgyptAir Flight 804 to ground stations show smoke was detected in a bathroom near the cockpit. The ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting) system sent a series of messages investigators are poring over to determine what may have happened on the plane before it went down, the website reported.

Sixty-six people were aboard the Airbus A320 flying from Paris to Cairo before it vanished early Thursday morning. Wreckage from the plane was found Friday in the Mediterranean Sea some 180 miles off the Egyptian coast. Terrorism has been cited as a potential cause of the crash though officials have cautioned against speculation and there has been no credible claim of responsibility from any group. U.S. intelligence sources tell NBC News they are aware of the AvHerald.com report about the ACARS data and have no reason to believe the information is not accurate.

The report includes the plane-to-ground messages sent in the final minutes of the flight:

00:26Z 2600 SMOKE LAVATORY SMOKE
00:27Z 2600 AVIONICS SMOKE
00:28Z 561100 R FIXED WINDOW SENSOR
00:29Z 2200 AUTO FLT FCU 2 FAULT
00:29Z 2700 F/CTL SEC 3 FAULT

The information would suggest the possibility of smoke or a fire in close proximity to the electronics and equipment bay of the Airbus below the floor of the cockpit. The timestamps refer to "Zulu" time -- or Greenwich Mean Time. Thus, the information of smoke in the lavatory was sent at 12:26 a.m. GMT, which corresponds to 2:26 a.m. local time of the flight -- approximately 10 minutes before the flight fell off radar. An "FCU" refers to a unit in cockpit the pilot uses to input instructions into the flight computer. "SEC3" refers to the computer that controls the spoilers and elevator computers of the plane. No mayday call was sent from the jet.

Following the discussion on the pilots rumor website these ACARS messages are most consistent with a fire or possibly a incendiary device intended to cause a fire, but not very consistent with an explosive device. The window open message, however, is strange; as one does NOT open a window in an aircraft at that altitude! Pilots have smoke masks they can put on if there is smoke in the cockpit. 'Natural' event or terrorist event is still an open question.

BBC reported yesterday, that at some point in 2013, there had been some sort of technical problem with this aircraft, but that it had apparently been fixed.

Possible Rudder failure due to sudden internal damage?. Always my concern while piloting smaller aircraft.

Here, maybe, is the reason why EgyptAir prematurely declared that EgyptAir 804 was the result of terrorism:

REPORT: EgyptAir plane did 3 emergency landings in the 24 hours before it crashed

The EgyptAir plane that mysteriously disappeared in the Mediterranean on May 19, with 66 people on board, did three emergency landings in the 24 hours before the crash, French broadcaster France 3 reports. The report has yet to be confirmed by government or airspace authorities. The plane used for the EgyptAir flight MS804 connecting Paris to Cairo reportedly had to turn around three times and perform emergency landings on each occasion, while travelling between Eritrea, Egypt, Tunisia, and Paris.

Shortly after taking off, emergency signals indicating a problem onboard went off, prompting the plane to turn around, France 3 reports. A technical verification on the ground took place each time following the landing but no problem was found as each time the plane could take off again and continue its route, according to the information obtained by France 3.

This data was reported by the Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS), an encrypted system that records coded messages sent between the planes and the ground during flights. This system reportedly detected several technical incidents during the plane's last six rotations. The cause of those incidents is not yet known. The message system is the same one that recorded a slew of messages signaling smoke coming from the lavatories the avionics bay and problems with the co-pilot's windows, just before the plane disappeared off the radars and crashed.

This information could help experts who are still trying to figure out why the flight MS804 crashed killing the 66 people onboard. No explanation has been ruled out yet, but this could point toward a technical failure rather than a bomb explosion. On Wednesday, Egypt said that a French ship had picked up signals from deep under the sea which is presumed to be from black boxes of the missing plane. This development might finally bring answers as to what exactly happened to the plane as all experts agree that we won't know what happened until the black box and voice recordings of the cockpit are found.

*****
So basically the plane itself was reporting an unspecified problem, but they couldn't figure out what it was, so they just shrugged and sent the plane and its passengers back into the Great Blue. Three times. Maybe this thread should be moved to category "Profits Before People."

"This information could help lawyers (or prosecutors) who are still trying to figure out who to file against for killing 66 people onboard."

I think you would find that take-off problem signals and emergency signals in flight at cruising altitude are two different things. The plane dove immediately, which it did not do with the other technical glitches.

A lavatory smoke indication could be terrorist setting off a bomb.

Main locations of EgyptAir wreckage identified by deep ocean vessel

Eric Knecht and Tim HepherJun 15th 2016 5:10PM

CAIRO (Reuters) - The main locations of wreckage from the EgyptAir jet that crashed in the eastern Mediterranean last month have been identified by a vessel owned by Deep Ocean Search, the Egyptian-led investigation committee said Wednesday. The John Lethbridge, a search boat contracted by the Egyptian government, is working against the clock to locate the "black boxes" that investigators say will help explain why Flight MS804 crashed on May 19, killing all 66 people on board. Signals from the flight data recorders needed to track them down on the seabed are expected to expire on June 24.

The John Lethbridge has provided the first images of wreckage to investigators. A search team on board along with investigators will now draw a map of the wreckage's distribution spots, the committee said in a statement. It was not immediately known which parts of the plane had been found, nor whether the two flight recorders were nearby. The recorders, one for voice and another for data, were contained in the tail of the Airbus A320. Previously collected debris will also be handed over to the investigation committee after "standard procedures" are completed by prosecutors who are currently holding it for forensic evidence, the statement added.

To recover the black boxes some 3,000 meters (10,000 feet) below the sea surface, investigators will need to pinpoint the signals to within a few meters and establish whether the pingers are still connected to the recorders.

The cockpit voice recorder of MS804 has been recovered and the memory has been secured.
It will not take long until we know whether it was accident or attack.

Official Egyptian update
Cairo,17th of June 2016

After the sucess in retrieving the CVR of the doomed A320, John Lethbridge, the vessel contracted by the Egyptian Government, has managed to retrieve the second black box which is the FDR. The FDR was also retrieved in several stages but the vessel equipment managed to pick up the memory unit; which is considered as the most important part of the above-mentioned recorder. Immediately the General Prosecution was notified that the second data recorder was also found and accordingly issued its decision to hand over the 2 data recorders to the technical investigation committee to carry out analysis and unload the voice conversations. Transfer process of the 2 data recorders from the vessel to Alexandria is under process; which will be received by members from the General Prosecution and the Investigation Committee.17/06/2016
