Chapter 3 of H. Albarelli's book 'A Secret Order' is all about Adele's story.
Adele signed a dedication to me personally in my copy of this book.
She and I had a long and lively exchange over the years - and most of it was not about her interactions with Rivera et al. [with part of the Unspeakable]. Adele was interested in so many things of common interest we often talked about. She was not happy [at all] with the direction that the USA was taking and knew its history better than 99.9% of the population. She kept up with the latest in what was happening in the fields of science, politics, intelligence, secret government, the oligarchy, and so much else. She was interested in Democratic Socialism, and was no fan of U.S.-style corporate capitalism. She feared the rise of whom she called 'Donald Rump'. Very much a Renaissance woman, Adele knew a hell of a lot about many things. It is really sinking in what a great friend I have lost. I find it a bit sad that so few, even in the JFK research community, know so little, if anything, of her story. [One has to wonder how many others, like her, knew from 11/22/63 for sure from personal experience that the official version was a lie, but kept their mouths shut, unlike her.]
Farewell my friend and political soulmate Adele....

I did what I could to assist her, beginning by contacting Adele in 2010 to share with her contact details of NOLA SS SAIC John Rice's daughter Janet. I found that Rice's wife's birthday was November 22 and I speculated that Rice dropped his wife off in Leesville, LA (spouse stationed at Ft. Polk) to visit with their older daughter who resided there on that date while Rice traveled on to an Air Force base in Shreveport that morning two days before Adele claimed she met with Rice and FBI's Orrin Bartlett, describing her encounters with Dr. Col. Rivera.
Even in her eighties Adele exhibited excellent memory, exceptional intellect and asweet, compelling personality.
Rivera's nephew married Don Hewitt's favorite producer in 1990, a former secretary of Mike Wallace. Rivera's wife Anna's siblings lived in the tiny town in the Pennsylvania mountains that was also
home to Frank Carlucci.

I consider it a failure of the research community that these people can continue to be so open about ties to Rivera, his daughter had photos of him publicly available on her FB,
without so much as any response to Adele's allegations or the fake age of Jose Rivera in his obit. He was actually born in 1906 and his record of first marriage in 1925 in the District of Columbia is available.

The siblings of Jose A Rivera's wife, Anna, moved after their parents died (father John Jacobson in 1912, mother Emma before 1930) to nearby Bear Creek, Luzerne County, PA.

If you peruse the Wikipedia articles of Bear Creek and Bear Creek village, it seems to defy the odds that Jose A. Rivera's in-laws and the family of Frank C. Carlucci III could both be associated with such thinly populated places and yet the backgrounds of these two MIC insiders were entirely random and distinct from each other.

ZelikowThat's all I have on the Congo unless either of you have some other questions
OberdorferIf I may tell a Carlucci story
CarlucciThat was subsequent. I came back from the Congo and was Congo desk officer. Charlie Whitehouse and I were the two people on the Congo desk. By then Lumumba had been killed and Cyrille Adoula was Prime Minister of the Congo. I had gotten to know Adoula. When he paid a visit to the United States, I was assigned as his escort officer. That was quite a chore. I went through the UN with him and brought him to Washington. Jack Kennedy held a lunch for him at the White House.
ZelikowDo you remember when this was?
Carlucci1962.
ZelikowDo you remember when in '62, approximately?
CarlucciIt was during the summer. I was over in Blair House and far too junior to be invited to a White House lunch. Kennedy had Adoula on his right and a man named Albert Ndele on his left. Ndele was governor of the Congolese Central Bank. He was the Congo's only Ph.D., a very bright man. Sometime during the lunch Adoula looked around, but he didn't see me in the room. So he turned to Kennedy and said, Ou est Carlucci?
Kennedy said, Who the hell is Carlucci? The word bounced on down, Who is Carlucci? [Dean] Rusk didn't know and it worked down to Soapy [G. Mennen] Williams who was Assistant Secretary for African Affairs. Soapy knew me well. He told Angie [Angier] Biddle Duke to get me over there. I was summoned from Blair House to the White House. When I came in, I said to Angie Biddle Duke, What am I doing here?
He said, I haven't the faintest idea, but there's an empty chair over there. Congressman O'Hara hasn't come. Take his place. I took Barratt O'Hara's place. I started to eat, and Soapy Williams came up and tapped me on the shoulder. He said, The interpreter hasn't shown up. Go up and interpret for the President, please. So I went up.....

Carlucci's parents lived in nearby Forty Fort, PA in 1930, near the time of Frank's birth. It has been reported that after the death of Frank and Joan Carlucci's mother, Roxann Bacon Carlucci in 1947, father Frank, Jr., an insurance salesman, moved the family to Bear Creek.
This woman was the widow of Anna Rivera's and Hilda Aldunate's nephew, Robert E. Oldershaw.:

Yes most curious Tom. Reminds me of Jim Jones and Dan Mitrione.

Bear Creek Village is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 257 at the 2010 census.[1] It was incorporated on August 25, 1993, from portions of Bear Creek Township.[2]
I remember getting stuck more than once in winter blizzards at Bear Creek * the northeast Pennsylvania boyhood home of Carlyle Group's Frank Carlucci. Route 115 cuts through the woods there before winding down the mountain to where I grew up in the 1960s Wyoming Valley.
Bear Creek was aptly named. In the 1940s when Carlucci lived there, it was still a vast forest of pine and hemlock set off by a 100-acre lake. Settlement first began following George Washington's call in 1778 for troops to cut a swathe through to Wilkes-Barre and even the score with Indians and Tories who'd attacked local residents. It developed into a lumber and ice company town in the 1800s and later into a mountain getaway for the Wyoming Valley elite. A place where a kid could watch the evolution of ferns undisturbed. Peer through streams and dote on mossy pebbles. Get their dog drunk, etc.
Bear Creek is still a wonderland despite commercial winter sports, suburban development and the remaking of lumber baron Al Lewis's 19th century Tudor mansion into a hotel adjacent to Bear Creek dam.
Carlucci revelled in the outdoors at Bear Creek. But he felt otherwise unchallenged living in the region and promptly left upon graduation cum laude, class of '48 * from Wyoming Seminary prep school in Kingston: "Where the Susquehana's waters/Kiss her golden sands,/'Mid the hills of fair Wyoming,/Alma Mater stands."
Ironically, it would be Carlucci's official appointment to northeast Pennsylvania as "flood czar" in 1972 * 24 years later * not his exotic Foreign Service postings in between in the 1960s, that would first bring him national prominence.....

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
Yes, very sad. I imagine the last few years after her operation were very difficult. She contacted me several time to help with her password. Which I did. I know she had some help, at least for a while to help with her reading, or more likely being read to. Far from ideal. Especially for such an independent woman. Mind in perfect condition but betrayed by the body.
