William Hoyt Shelley - vital statistics and next of kin
#1
Bill Shelley passed away in 1996. As part of my research, I have been attempting to find out several physical characteristics about Shelley. In particular, I have been trying to find out how tall Shelley was in 1963, as this fact alone will go a long ways toward disproving or proving a certain piece of evidence.

I am also attempting to locate any surviving family Shelley left behind.
Mr. HILL. The right rear portion of his head was missing. It was lying in the rear seat of the car. His brain was exposed. There was blood and bits of brain all over the entire rear portion of the car. Mrs. Kennedy was completely covered with blood. There was so much blood you could not tell if there had been any other wound or not, except for the one large gaping wound in the right rear portion of the head.

If this is Shelley I would guess 5 foot 8:

There have been more than enough guesses. I want facts.

Good idea. Would he show up in the Army's records? As far as I know, he was only in a cadet program while in high school.

You mean this guy with Oswald and friends in New Orleans, Aug 1963? lol

You know how they put the physical description at the end of FBI reports? Maybe in the WC Docs?

If you look at the image of Shelley walking away from the entrance with Lovelady Shelley is slightly taller than Lovelady, whom we know is 5 foot 8. That would make Shelley 5 foot 8 or 9 depending on their shoes.

Bill Miller is wrong about Lovelady walking away. It's definitely Lovelady because you can see his plaid pattern and bald spot. Plus he is walking with Shelley who has a dark jacket. Miller and Larsen think they see stripes on Shelley's jacket but they aren't there. The community is a place where you are forced to observe lengthy rumination on specious micro-analysis based on bad observations and skills. It's Shelley and that's his dark jacket. It's Lovelady and that's his plaid shirt and bald spot.

Tell you what, Albert. Find me definite proof of how tall Bill Shelley was in 1963, and I might just believe that is Shelley and Lovelady walking down the Elm St. extension.

Or, we may just find out that Shelley was 5' 6", or shorter, and we will have proof that Shelley and Lovelady remained on the steps for 3-4 minutes after the last shot, just as they stated in their Warren Commission testimony.

I believe you can see Lovelady's bald spot in Kamp's varying focus shots of Lovelady walking away. That and his plaid shirt, as well as the situational fact of his walking with Shelley in a dark jacket would make it a forensic lock in my opinion.

Lack of service records can be a sign of intelligence involvement.
