I'm sure most here have heard that McCain's blood clot was due to a brain tumor. He has had the tumor removed, but it is a kind of cancer that almost always aggressively returns. The median life expectancy after initial diagnosis is about a year - plus / minus about 4 months. So, I imagine McCain may after some time return to the Senate - but will not for long. Long before this type of cancer kills, it usually makes ordinary work and life too much of a burden - and who could forgive him if he didn't want to spend his last days in the Congress. I'm NO political fan of McCain! - but he is at least an independent type among the usual Republican clones. He is not a fan of Trump, and my guess is knowing of his own mortality now he will be more aggressive against some Trump policies. This is the same type of cancer Ed Kennedy had and died of, as well as a good friend of mine - so I know the problems that will come McCain's way soon, even though he will likely have a period of 'recovery'. This could soon change the equation of votes in the Congress slightly.
