Send Bill Clinton birthday greetings - No kidding
#1
I've just received the following from Alternet !!!

Clearly another 'Alternative' news aggregator whose editorial opinions I can do without. "Thanks to President Clinton's extraordinary vision......" ??? What a load of sycophantic garbage :puke:

Quote:Dear Reader,
Since leaving office, former President Bill Clinton has never taken a break from working on humanitarian issues we all care about, and bringing his intellect, compassion and energy to a wide range of global challenges.
Just last week, we were all moved when Bill Clinton brought journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee safely home to their families from North Korea. In my mind, that deserves a vote of thanks.

Let's send birthday greetings to President Clinton to thank him for his tireless humanitarian efforts.

Quote:Dear Friend,

In the 40 years that I've known President Bill Clinton, he continues to amaze me every day with his intellect, compassion, and energy.

Since leaving office, he's never taken a break from working on the issues he deeply cares about both here in the U.S. and across the globe.

To show President Clinton your appreciation, I invite you to send him a personal note for his upcoming birthday.

Your birthday e-card will make his special day -- August 19 -- even happier. After you send your note, you'll receive email updates from Bill Clinton, as well as ways to get involved in the work of the Clinton Foundation.

Thanks to President Clinton's extraordinary vision and the involvement of caring individuals like you, the Clinton Foundation makes a significant impact in the lives of hundreds of millions of people around our world. For example:
  • Two million people in developing countries now have access to low-priced HIV/AIDS medicine, and we've just negotiated new pricing agreements that will enable better, cheaper treatments for more patients in the developing world.
  • Thousands of schools across the United States have put healthy-eating and exercising programs into practice, so that more children are leading healthier lives.
  • To combat climate change, 40 of the world's largest cities are making progress in reducing their carbon footprint.
Will you take a moment today to thank President Clinton for creating positive change around our world?

In honor of Bill Clinton's birthday, send an e-card today with your personal note.

I know your birthday e-cards and donations will mean a whole lot to President Clinton.

Thank you,

Bruce Lindsey

Yeah, Peter, you have to wonder what planet some people are on. Another war criminal with copious amounts of blood on his hands. I would love to know where all that intellect, compassion and energy was during his term. I must have blinked and missed it. If I was going to send Bill something for his birthday it would not be a card. I've noticed Alternet are also big Obama supporters and still expect him to be the great hope for the people of the US and the world. Sigh.....
