Jan,
I don't think the Hells Angels needed any "military acid" to achieve violent psychosis.Violence is a pretty normal attribute for them.Your thoughts that they used an acid/meth combination at Altamont could be right on though. As I remember, the Angels controlled the whole West Coast meth operation.
Moral of the story: Don't ever knock over a Hells Angels hog...............:bandit:

Magda, I'd really like to read that....but when I download it it is several thousand pages - one word per line...is it me or the file?!

There is a problem with the file. I went and found a torrent of it - a 16Mb pdf - available here
I also converted it for use with my eBook reader and could upload a 1.7Mb .html file of it if you like.

Thanks for that Peter. I have tried for ages to get some of my files uploaded but there seems to be an issue with the forum software and so far Jelsoft had not had a solution for us. There should be no difficulty uploading a 1.7 mb file If you can do that Peter it would be great. One word per line is a bit much to get through for a whole book. lug:

Oops - seems that the forum won't allow .html files.
Give me an hour or two and I'll get it converted to .doc format and try again

The best I can do with auto-conversion (ie without spending ages on manual formatting etc) is a plain text file. It's a pity because there are a lot of images in the .pdf - photos and many diagrams of molecular structures etc.
Still this does provide all the text in a readable format. It's nearly2Mb though.

Helen Reyes Wrote:I guess some of the early MKULTRA operations did take place in the Bay Area, with contract scientists using hookers to administer LSD to their clients and report results.
From my light reading into the subject, I found there was a link between Manson and the Process Church of the Final Judgment, and that latter might have been in contact with Sirhan Sirhan. These overlapping murder cults seemed to be using the same LSD produced by an LA-area lab, with the brand name Orange Windowpane (or Orange Sunshine). The lab disappeared a little suddenly, and some people claimed it was run by the US govt. There is also a rumor that the Tate murders were filmed and the footage forwarded to the appropraite entities.
The Process Church followed in the footsteps of the later People's Temple and relocated, in their case, to Yucatan, after RFK. The legacy of the mind control kill cults was allegedly taken up by a group known as the Zodiac Killer and others.
Anton LeVay's Church of Satan in San Francisco doesn't seem like anything more than a slightly controversial private initiative that was used by the media and intel for various purposes.
It's interesting to note Owsley worked for JPL, according to the Examiner piece. L. Ron Hubbard claimed Naval Intelligence had sent him to infiltrate Jack Parson's "black magic ring" in an earlier decade. Michael Aquino, who broke with ChurchOfSatan to form Temple of Set, has been called a military intel agent many times, and I'm not sure he even denies it anymore. Also an interesting coincidence, Hubbard's ChurchOfScientology engaged in something called Operation Freakout to silence critics, but after Operation Chaos had mostly wrapped up.
I'd assume any operation kill rock stars (and many at the age of 27, for some reason) was associated with the thrill kill cult operations. Running both operations blind would have been unneccessary and a waste of resources. even though they probably did branch out into other projects afterwards (Jonestown and Hilltown on one side and assassination squads masquerading as Son-of-Sam Zodiac serial killers on another).
Just a note on the Process Church...it has been intimated by Maury Terry and others that the Process was behind the Son of Sam killings in New York City in 1977. Also striking are the similarities between Son of Sam and the Zodiac killings in the San Francisco area.

James - there's a lot of discussion of the Process Church on DPF,for instance in the thread below which also contains a link to the suppressed chapter of Sanders' book on the Manson Family:
