Puts me right off any one professing the sort of religious beliefs that I see in the US elections. I could never vote for any one like that. For a start I think they are mentally ill hearing voices. Then I think they are just scheming opportunists playing to suckers. I have no problem with small 'c' Christians who quietly get on with their lives using the priciples of Jesus to guide them to be a better person but that's not what I see in the US election circus.
