In 1961 a B-52 bomber had a structural failure near an Air Force base in North Carolina and broke-up in mid-air spilling its 2 nuclear bombs to earth. One bomb's safety parachute successfully deployed. The other's failed, sending the nuclear bomb hurtling to Earth at mach 1. I just saw on TV that 5 of the 6 failsafe devices in this bomb failed to deploy and if it wasn't for the 6th it would have detonated. The reason I brought this right to the board is because the Bay Of Pigs invasion was only months away when this happened. Shadow agencies were cooking-up creepy plans like Operation Northwoods at the time. So it begs the question, if this bomb went off how would it have been potentially used towards this end? (If at all)
