Slow motion coup d'etat underway
From: Brasscheck TV <news@brasschecktv.com>

As long as things move along smoothly,
it's not necessary to develop a historical
perspective to survive and thrive.

We are not in normal times.

You can ignore history, but it will probably
be a very expensive mistake.

How to fix that - fast.

i know it is a long interview, but the discussion involves material from nine books by Hedges and from his life experiences in different parts of the world. The time flies by quite quickly.

He also replies to questions asked by listeners.

Hedges is always quality.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

Its long - but worth EVERY MOMENT of it! Chris Hedges is hardly with equal, IMHO! I've just listened to this 3 hour feast for the third time and found new nuggets. Hedges has only one small blind spot...but so small I care not to even discuss it here...it is, in the end, not important. his morality - his bravery - his willingness to speak truth to power is so rare and his analysis so clear. Listen. Take notes on the other thinkers. movers and shakers, as well as the books he mentions. Were this a Nation of 'Hedges' we'd not be in the dire, 'near-the-apocalypse' position we are now in.
"Let me issue and control a nation's money and I care not who writes the laws. - Mayer Rothschild
"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience! People are obedient in the face of poverty, starvation, stupidity, war, and cruelty. Our problem is that grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem!" - Howard Zinn
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and never will" - Frederick Douglass
