I just heard historian Michael Beschloss on Chris Matthews tonight repeat the "rumor" that LBJ had to restrain his generals from using nukes in Vietnam. After 50 years you would think this would be widely known already if there were anything to it.

They may be dredging this stuff up to raise the specter of Trump and his generals having a disagreement (or maybe not a disagreement) on the issue of using nukes in theater wars.

After 50 years you'd think folks would've learned who the culprits behind whacking Jack were, but, I don't think they really know, unless someone spoke out.
