Jim this is from the link i posted
* The Tippit chapter is altered in particular with reference to the pistol bullet evidence. See p. 106 of the new edition re. "ballistics testimony dispels much of the doubt about Oswald's guilt in the Tippit murder." (I raise my hat to Dale Myers' book on the Tippit case. (p. 499 new edition, Note 2)

It was not for Cuba, although the middle and lower levels of the conspirators believed it was. But Cuba was used to force the LN cover up. After the assassination Cuba was not invaded and LBJ changed JFK's Vietnam policy. But it was not just for huge profits from perpetual wars, surely the defense contractors had a lot profit from Vietnam war. It was also the rebuilding of Vietnam, opening of banks to finance the rebuilding, creation of cheap labor. Extraction of mineral resources in Indochina, see Freeport Sulphur for example and loss of them as a result of JFK's support of indepedence in Indonisia and Africa.

I agree with you on that VV. Tremendous amount of money to be made in Vietnam.
Boy that is really shocking about Summers endorsing Myers on the ballistics evidence.

What can you say Jim. Ultimately everyone is responsible for their actions and history will judge them accordingly.
It is the new trend of thinking or as Don Jeffries so aptly labeled them "The neo-con" researchers. I don't think ayone would have chosen a better name.

Jim DiEugenio Wrote:Jim - in Talbot's Brothers, he does describe Sheridan acting on behalf of RFK (at least partly) during the Garrison investigation.
I know that.
Tracy, did you read my review of Talbot's book. I took him to task for that.
And then Joan Mellen repeated this bullshit and you REALLY took her to task for that. As did I back in 05 and she got so angry that she slammed the phone down.
She does not take criticism well.

He congratulates Myers for his work on Tippit?!
Does he now say Oswald shot Tippit?
That is just nutty in light of the recovered wallet and the work on the timing by Ernest and McBride.
OMG, Tony Summers in cahoots with Reitzes and Myers.
How would have ever thought it.
Me, for one. Since the mid 80's. In part based on what he wrote to me in a letter.
Please do a column.
"praising Pat Lambert's work". That says it all.

I recently found Roger Feinman's online book Between the Signal and the Noise...

...which I'd never read before (I try not to spend a lot of time on the battles within the research community), and learned that Patricia Lambert was a longtime research associate of David Lifton.

The Tony Summers book sounds like garbage.
“The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him.â€
