Very eerie.....we are being had by forces and person beyond the two 'apparent' killers. No doubt they did kill, but I think they were puppets for larger forces....much larger. Spy

Just one quick example, of which there are many more....
Quote:Maybe the Unabomber Wasn't Alone
Robert Graysmith
USA TODAY, 11 Nov 1997

When FBI agents swarmed into Ted Kaczynski's Montana cabin on April 3, 1996, they unearthed "a mother lode of evidence" that he was the Unabomber. The case seemed open and shut.

But as jury selection opens up Wednesday, serious questions about the government's case remain.

The FBI logged 720 items of evidence from the cabin. Agents searched that cabin so thoroughly they cataloged lint and dust. But what may be more important is what they did not find.

The cabin had no electricity, no lights, no power of any kind. Yet the suspected terrorist bomber, the subject of the longest search in FBI history, had built sophisticated bombs, cutting, welding and drilling metal pieces to do so. Where were the tools?

In the cabin FBI agents ferreted out a blue and red wooden-handled manual drill, seven wood drill bits, one drill base and a welding mask.

It's highly unlikely that those tools alone could have built the Unabomber's weapons.

-- There was no power drill, though the Unabomber's pipe bombs had precisely drilled fittings to secure the metal end caps that sealed the explosive inside.

-- There also was no electric welding set (and no gas tank or acetylene torch for a gas welding set). But beading and a change in the pearl-like grain of metal on the finished welded end plates of the bombs suggest high temperatures had been reached, such as the 6,300-degree heat from an oxyacetylene welding torch.

The fire pit in Kaczynski's garden might have generated high temperatures, but it seems unlikely he could have done any detailed welding work in such a place.

Each of the Unabomber's devices, with the exception of the first two, showed over-soldering. There was solder in that cabin, but no soldering iron.

Penciled numbers on the bomb pieces show that the devices were assembled and reassembled many times before being finished. Could he read those marks in the cabin's very dim light?

Kaczynski could have worked outside, either to assemble the bombs or work the metal in the fire pit, but agents had the suspect and the cabin under surveillance for two months before his arrest. Surely they would have seem him at this. Yet when they seized the cabin, they found a live bomb wrapped and ready to mail. Where had that come from?

Was there a hidden lab? And, if so, whose was it?

Kaczynski was a poor man. In an 18-year crime spree he spent only a few thousand dollars. Outfitting his own machine shop or bomb lab was surely beyond his means.

Had the accused secretly gained access to welding equipment in Lincoln or Helena, test-detonated his devices in the remote Scapegoat Wilderness and gathered components from the many junk piles owned by his neighbors? And if there was a lab or machine shop belonging to someone else, did he know Kaczynski was using it?

Until we know where and how the Unabomber made his bombs, the possibility of an accomplice cannot be ruled out.

There are other hints that there may be an accomplice. The Unabomber used the Park Hotel in Helena, Mont., as a halfway house, staying there before he left the state and when he returned. For every bombing, we can fix a stay at the Park hotel before and after.

There is only one exception. The registration records do not show any stay at the Park Hotel bracketing the bombing that killed Hugh Scrutton, one of the murders for which Kaczynski is about to go on trial.

Moreover, a bank deposit slip, apparently on a Helena bank for one of his three accounts, dated Dec. 11, 1985, places the former mathematics professor in Montana while the bomb that killed Scrutton was being placed in Sacramento.

FBI agent Terry Turchie wrote in his detailed affidavit that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms "has been unable to determine as yet whether this posting date accurately indicates that Theodore Kaczynski personally made a deposit on that day." If that loophole stays open, it is a big one. It would have taken the accused 25-1/2 hours by bus, which is how he always traveled, to get to Sacramento to place that bomb.

Of course, with the trial and Kaczynski's detailed diaries, we will eventually know the answer to these and other inconsistencies.

Breivik's video manifesto is a work of political art.

I reject the notion that, at the ideological level, it is the product of a single Lone Nut.

The manifesto can be seen as the reconceptualization of eugenic ideas of Aryan racial purity through a mystical, chivalric, Christian Crusader, prism.

In fact, it can be seen as Hitler's Mein Kampf adapted for C21st demographics and geopolitics. Jews are replaced by Muslims. The "collaborators" enabling an Islamicisation of Europe to take place are "cultural Marxists", in positions of power whether as politicians & civil servants or professors & teachers.

The manifesto is framed throughout in Knights Templar, Christian "Perfect Warrior", romanticism.

The Crusade that Breivik is advocating is not to retake the Holy Lands of the Middle East, but to retake or rescue Europe from its invasion and subversion by what he terms "cultural Marxism" and "Islamicisation".

Thus the manifesto is a "European Declaration of Independence". This is developed to mean an 80-year, three phase, "civil war" to cleanse Europe, and to create "European Isolationism".

The video uses a lot of cartoon and pseudo-painterly imagery. Some is reminiscent of both Nazi and Soviet propaganda posters.

The first target of the manifesto is Soviet Communism and Marxism, with the "Marxist" flag waved in Berlin in May 1945 cast as representing the beginning of the spread of "cultural Marxism" across Europe.

For instance, schools are described as cultural Marxist "Indoctrination Centres".

This is clearly relevant to Breivik's choice of targets for his atrocities: the island of Utoya was home to an annual summer school for the "future leaders" of Norway's ruling Labour party. Breivik, the "Perfect Knight", sees himself striking against an elite "cultural Marxist Indoctrination" college, where the next generation of leaders of "cultural Marxism" are being grown.

The manifesto continues with the BBC (with the 'C' replaced by an Islamic crescent and a Soviet hammer and sickle) seen as the global promoter of "cultural Marxism".

Reading between the lines, Breivik sees 1945-68 as a period of "Reds under the Beds", with Commies infiltrating everyhwere. By 1968, "cultural Marxism" has permeated all European institutions and governments: it is the dominant philosophy declaring nationalism and "cultural conservatism", which he favours, to be heresies.

Breivik considers multiculturalism to be "an anti-European hate ideology", indeed an "evil genocidal ideology created for the sole purpose of annihilating everything European".

"Cultural Marxism" is leading to the creation of a EUSSR (ie a Soviet Europe).

So far, the video manifesto could be the brainchild of Gladio. Indeed, my antennae kept on flashing post-war Gladio and Gehlen warnings throughout....

The opening "Reds under the Bed" channelled as "cultural Marxism" section then gives way to section 2, entitled "Islamic Colonization". The Turkish "Trojan Horse" will lead to Eurabia (an Islamic-dominated European continent).

The manifesto states that Islamic women are "outbreeding" European women. Entire European cities (eg Marseilles) are described as being now more Islamic than European.

It also draws attention to the concepts of: Taqqiya, which it describes as "Islamic deceit", it is legitimate to deceive "kafirs" (infidels) in the cause of Jihad; and Naskh, which is claimed as stating that "the violent Medina verses in the Quran take precedence over the peaceful Mecca verses".

The video uses images of angry or mourning muslims alongside figures claiming that 42,500 Europeans have been murdered by muslims, 750,000 European women have been raped by muslims and 5.5 million Europeans have been assaulted or robbed by Europeans. These figures, for which no source is given, are used by the manifesto to claim that an "ongoing low-intensive Islamic Jihad has been inflicted on Europe by the facilitators of Islamicisation". Ie "cultural Marxism" is responsible for an undeclared Islamic Jihad of robbery, rape and murder of the European people.

Breivik's manifesto has declared its target, its enemy: the "cultural Marxists" who are preparing the ground for Europe to be taken over by Islam.

Part 3 is entitled "Hope", which the polemic declares will be provided by principles of: Strength, Honour, Sacrifice, Matyrdom.

The imagery becomes mystical chivalric once more, with tapestries and paintings of Knights Templar and Christian Crusaders.

European history is framed as a battle against the Islamic hordes, starting in 732AD with the Battle of Tours and ending in 1683 with the defeat of the Ottoman Caliphate at the Battle of Vienna. The manifesto provides a list of heroic warrior kings and princes: Charles Martel, El Cid, Richard the Lionheart, Vlad the Impaler, Jan Sobieski, Tsar Nicholas I (represented as betrayed by Britain and France).

And, intriguingly, Jacques de Molay, the notorious Grand Master of the Knights Templar, burned at the stake for heresy on Friday the Thirteenth.

It ends with a Crusader call to arms: Onward Christian Soldiers. Become a "Justiciar Knight".

Part Four: "A New Beginning".

This section claims that the Knights Templar Order was reconstituted in April 2002 in London, as a "Pan-European Crusader Movement", a "European Indigenous Rights Movement", and a "War Crimes Tribunal".

Crucuially, KT (Knights Templar) "acts as a War Crimes Tribunal through its independent and self sustaining single-cell network of Justiciar Knights whose purpose is to target Category A and Category B multiculturalist/cultural Marxist traitors."

This, presumably, is what Breivik thinks he was doing in his slaughter of the children, as part of phase one of what he conceives as a three phase European civil war lasting until 2083.

"12 conservative revolutionary delegates from 10 European countries: France, the UK (England), Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Greece, Spain, Russia, Serbia attended the founding meeting."

So much for Lone Nut theory....

Knights Templar Europe (KTE) is presented as being in opposition to "All Hate Ideologies". These are specified as:

"Cultural Marxism/Multicultarism: the anti-European hate ideology.

"Islam(ism): the anti-kafr hate ideology;

"Nazism: the anti-Jewish hate ideology."

KTE is presented as a "cultural Christian (christian identity) military movement".

The manifesto then states that KTE opposes all "Genocidal Ideologies":

"ISLAM: 300+ million dead

"COMMUNISM: 100+ million dead

"NAZISM: 20+ million dead

"CHRISTENDOM: 15 million dead."

"Christendom" is defined as "pre-enlightenment".

KTE promotes "cultural isolationalism similar to that of Japan and South Korea."

Beside an image of a stylized Knight Templar, the manifesto proclaims:
"Before we can start our Crusade, we must do our duty by decimating cultural Marxism".

Again, this is presumably the rationale of Breivik for his island atrocity.

Finally, the Knights Templar is presented as a Martyr destined for the Kingdom of Heaven:

"A Knights Templar does not fear death, he desires it.... because through the deed of matyrdom... he is assured the reward of imperishable glory in the Kingdom of Heaven.. Such is the destiny of the Perfect Knight."

At c12 minutes, an image of a historic Knight Templar is replaced by an image of Breivik in his freemasonic blue apron (is this the regalia of the KTE?), followed by an image of Breivik in military uniform covered in badges and ribbons (NB this image and its iconography needs careful study), and the image of Breivik in SEAL type uniform pointing a hi-tech weapon menacingly.

----------------------------

Breivik may believe all this pseudo-mystical tosh about Christendom, "cultural Marxism". However, I do not believe these ideas grew in a vacuum, nor that Breivik acted alone.

The entire edifice has the feel of Gladio reconstituted: a primal ideological fear, anti-Communism in the original post-WW2 Gladio, recast in a C21st light, with Islam as the demonic enemy and all those who promote "cultural Marxist" ideas as deserving of execution.

There's plenty of P2 and Priory of Sion material in there too.

Breivik is a fanatic, a criminal given a cause.

Ultimately, he serves strategia della tensione: Gladio's Strategy of Tension resurrected, with an anti-Islamic Perfect Knight seeking matyrdom thought atrocities.

Gladio's mirror Jihad.

The Unabomber link is disturbing.

Ted Kaczynski was a subject of brutal mind manipulation experiments at Harvard. The official version says it stops there. Personally, I doubt the official version.

Here are some excerpts from the four part Atlantic article by Alston Chase, which can be read online in full starting here:

Quote:In the fall of 1958 Theodore Kaczynski, a brilliant but vulnerable boy of sixteen, entered Harvard College. There he encountered a prevailing intellectual atmosphere of anti-technological despair. There, also, he was deceived into subjecting himself to a series of purposely brutalizing psychological experiments -- experiments that may have confirmed his still-forming belief in the evil of science. Was the Unabomber born at Harvard? A look inside the files

Quote:In 1959 a comfortable old house stood on the site. Known as the Annex, it served as a laboratory in which staff members of the Department of Social Relations conducted research on human subjects. There, from the fall of 1959 through the spring of 1962, Harvard psychologists, led by Henry A. Murray, conducted a disturbing and what would now be seen as ethically indefensible experiment on twenty-two undergraduates. To preserve the anonymity of these student guinea pigs, experimenters referred to individuals by code name only. One of these students, whom they dubbed "Lawful," was Theodore John Kaczynski, who would one day be known as the Unabomber, and who would later mail or deliver sixteen package bombs to scientists, academicians, and others over seventeen years, killing three people and injuring twenty-three.

Quote:Through research at the Murray Center and in the Harvard archives I found that, among its other purposes, Henry Murray's experiment was intended to measure how people react under stress. Murray subjected his unwitting students, including Kaczynski, to intensive interrogation -- what Murray himself called "vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive" attacks, assaulting his subjects' egos and most-cherished ideals and beliefs.

Quote:Kaczynski was accepted by Harvard in the spring of 1958; he was not yet sixteen years old. One friend remembers urging Kaczynski's father not to let the boy go, arguing, "He's too young, too immature, and Harvard too impersonal." But again Turk wouldn't listen. "Ted's going to Harvard was an ego trip for him," the friend recalls.

Quote:The Murray Experiment
PERHAPS no figure at Harvard at this time better embodied the ongoing war between science and humanism than Henry A. "Harry" Murray, a professor in Harvard's Department of Social Relations. A wealthy and blue-blooded New Yorker, Murray was both a scientist and a humanist, and he was one of Lewis Mumford's best friends. He feared for the future of civilization in an age of nuclear weapons, and advocated implementing the agenda of the World Federalist Association, which called for a single world government. The atomic bomb, Murray wrote in a letter to Mumford, "is the logical & predictable result of the course we have been madly pursuing for a hundred years." The choice now facing humanity, he added, was "One World or No World." Yet unlike Mumford, Murray maintained a deep faith in science. He saw it as offering a solution by helping to transform the human personality. "The kind of behavior that is required by the present threat," Murray wrote Mumford, "involves transformations of personality such as never occurred quickly in human history; one transformation being that of National Man into World Man." Crucial to achieving this change was learning the secret of successful relationships between people, communities, and nations. And coming to understand these "unusually successful relations" was the object of Murray's particular research: the interplay between two individuals, which he called the "dyad."

The concept of the dyad was, in a sense, Murray's attempt to build a bridge between psychology and sociology. Rather than follow Freud and Jung by identifying the individual as the fundamental atom in the psychological universe, Murray chose the dyad -- the smallest social unit -- and in this way sought to unite psychiatry, which studied the psyches of individuals, and sociology, which studied social relations. This kind of research, he apparently hoped, might (as he put it in a 1947 paper) promote "the survival and further evaluation of Modern Man, "by encouraging the emergence of the new "world man" and making world peace more likely.

Murray's interest in the dyad, however, may have been more than merely academic. The curiosity of this complex man appears to have been impelled by two motives -- one idealistic and the other somewhat less so. He lent his talents to national aims during World War II. Forrest Robinson, the author of a 1992 biography of Murray, wrote that during this period he "flourished as a leader in the global crusade of good against evil." He was also an advocate of world government. Murray saw understanding the dyad, it seems, as a practical tool in the service of the great crusade in both its hot and cold phases. (He had long shown interest, for example, in the whole subject of brainwashing.) During the war Murray served in the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the CIA, helping to develop psychological screening tests for applicants and (according to Timothy Leary) monitoring military experiments on brainwashing. In his book The Search for the "Manchurian Candidate" (1979), John Marks reported that General "Wild Bill" Donovan, the OSS director, "called in Harvard psychology professor Henry 'Harry' Murray" to devise a system for testing the suitability of applicants to the OSS. Murray and his colleagues "put together an assessment system ... [that] tested a recruit's ability to stand up under pressure, to be a leader, to hold liquor, to lie skillfully, and to read a person's character by the nature of his clothing.... Murray's system became a fixture in the OSS."

One of the tests that Murray devised for the OSS was intended to determine how well applicants withstood interrogations. As he and his colleagues described it in their 1948 report "Selection of Personnel for Clandestine Operations -- Assessment of Men,"

Quote:The candidate immediately went downstairs to the basement room. A voice from within commanded him to enter, and on complying he found himself facing a spotlight strong enough to blind him for a moment. The room was otherwise dark. Behind the spotlight sat a scarcely discernible board of inquisitors.... The interrogator gruffly ordered the candidate to sit down. When he did so, he discovered that the chair in which he sat was so arranged that the full strength of the beam was focused directly on his face....
At first the questions were asked in a quiet, sympathetic, conciliatory manner, to invite confidence.... After a few minutes, however, the examiner worked up to a crescendo in a dramatic fashion.... When an inconsistency appeared, he raised his voice and lashed out at the candidate, often with sharp sarcasm. He might even roar, "You're a liar."

Even anticipation of this test was enough to cause some applicants to fall apart. The authors wrote that one person "insisted he could not go through with the test." They continued, "A little later the director ... found the candidate in his bedroom, sitting on the edge of his cot, sobbing."

Before the war Murray had been the director of the Harvard Psychological Clinic. After the war Murray returned to Harvard, where he continued to refine techniques of personality assessment. In 1948 he sent a grant application to the Rockefeller Foundation proposing "the development of a system of procedures for testing the suitability of officer candidates for the navy." By 1950 he had resumed studies on Harvard undergraduates that he had begun, in rudimentary form, before the war, titled "Multiform Assessments of Personality Development Among Gifted College Men." The experiment in which Kaczynski participated was the last and most elaborate in the series. In their postwar form these experiments focused on stressful dyadic relations, designing confrontations akin to those mock interrogations he had helped to orchestrate for the OSS.

Quote:PLANNING for the last of Murray's "multiform assessments" was well under way by the spring of 1959. The idea, according to Murray's notes, was to "call for volunteers from a large undergraduate course."

Quote:Get about 80 sophomores; administer a series of scales or questionnaires dealing with various dimensions of personality; pick 25 subjects, some extremely high, some extremely low and some in middle on each of these scales; study these 25 subjects over a three year period by the multiform method of assessment; come up with 700 rank orders, and using a computer, obtain clusters of intercorrelations, factors, but final decisions are reached after prolonged discussions and reassessments; enormous amount of data which staff analyzes, interprets, formulates.

Kaczynski told Mello that he was "pressured into participating" in the Murray experiment. His hesitation turned out to be sensible. Researchers gave the volunteers almost no information about the experiment in which they would participate. Each was simply asked to answer yes to the following question: "Would you be willing to contribute to the solution of certain psychological problems (parts of an on-going program of research in the development of personality), by serving as a subject in a series of experiments or taking a number of tests (average about 2 hours a week) through the academic year (at the current College rate per hour)?"

In fact it would never be clear what the "certain psychological problems" were. And the test that served as the centerpiece for this undertaking appears remarkably similar to the old OSS stress test. Students would be given the third degree. But whereas the OSS applicants must have known that enduring unpleasant interrogations could be part of their job, these students did not. The intent was to catch them by surprise, to deceive them, and to brutalize them. As Murray described it,

Quote:First, you are told you have a month in which to write a brief exposition of your personal philosophy of life, an affirmation of the major guiding principles in accord with which you live or hope to live.
Second, when you return to the Annex with your finished composition, you are informed that in a day or two you and a talented young lawyer will be asked to debate the respective merits of your two philosophies.

When the subject arrived for the debate, he was escorted to a "brilliantly lighted room" and seated in front of a one-way mirror. A motion-picture camera recorded his every move and facial expression through a hole in the wall. Electrodes leading to machines that recorded his heart and respiratory rates were attached to his body. Then the debate began. But the students were tricked. Contrary to what Murray claimed in his article, they had been led to believe that they would debate their philosophy of life with another student like themselves. Instead they confronted what Forrest Robinson describes as a "well-prepared 'stooge'" -- a talented young lawyer indeed, but one who had been instructed to launch into an aggressive attack on the subject, for the purpose of upsetting him as much as possible. Robinson has described what happened next.

Quote:As instructed, the unwitting subject attempted to represent and to defend his personal philosophy of life. Invariably, however, he was frustrated, and finally brought to expressions of real anger, by the withering assault of his older, more sophisticated opponent.... while fluctuations in the subject's pulse and respiration were measured on a cardiotachometer.

Not surprisingly, most participants found this highly unpleasant, even traumatic, as the data set records. "We were led into the room with bright lights, very bright," one of them, code-named Cringle, recalled afterward.

Quote:I could see shadowy activities going on behind the one-way glass ... [Dr. G] ... started fastening things on me. had a sensation somewhat akin to someone being strapped on the electric chair with these electrodes ... I really started getting hit real hard ... Wham, wham, wham! And me getting hotter and more irritated and my heart beat going up ... and sweating terribly ... there I was under the lights and with movie camera and all this experimentation equipment on me ... It was sort of an unpleasant experience.

"Right away," said another, code-named Trump, describing his experience afterward, "I didn't like [the interrogator]."

Quote:[Dr. G] ... came waltzing over and he put on those electrodes but in that process, while he was doing that, kind of whistling, I was looking over the room, and right away I didn't like the room. I didn't like the way the glass was in front of me through which I couldn't see, but I was being watched and right away that puts one in a kind of unnatural situation and I noted the big white lights and again that heightens the unnatural effect. There was something peculiar about the set-up too, it was supposed to look homey or look natural, two chairs and a little table, but again that struck me as unnatural before the big piece of glass and the lights. And then [Mr. R] ... who was bubbling over, dancing around, started to talk to me about he liked my suit.... the buzzer would ring or something like that, we were supposed to begin.... he was being sarcastic or pretty much of a wise guy.... And the first thing that entered my mind was to get up and ask him outside immediately ... but that was out of the question, because the electrodes and the movie and all that ... I kind of sat there and began to fume and then he went on and he got my goat and I couldn't think of what to say.... And then they came along and they took my electrodes off.

And so it went. One subject, Hinge, thought he was "being attacked." Another, Naisfield, complained, "The lights were very bright.... Then the things were put on my legs and whatnot and on the arm, ... I didn't like the feel of the sticky stuff that was on there being sort of uncomfortable."

Although the "stressful dyadic proceeding" served as the centerpiece of Murray's experiment (it occurred during the second year of the three-year study), it was merely one among scores of different tests the students took in order to allow Murray and his associates to acquire, as Murray wrote, "the most accurate, significant, and complete knowledge and understanding of a single psychological event that is obtainable."

Before the dyadic confrontation took place, Murray and his colleagues interviewed the students in depth about their hopes and aspirations. During this same period the subjects were required to write not only essays explaining their philosophies of life but also autobiographies, in which they were told to answer specific, intimate questions on a range of subjects from thumb-sucking and toilet training to masturbation and erotic fantasies. And they faced a battery of tests that included, among others, the Thematic Apperception Test, a Rorschach test, the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, the California Psychological Inventory, a "fantasy inventory," a psychological-types inventory, the Maudalay Personality Inventory, an "inventory of self-description," a "temperament questionnaire," a "time-metaphor test," a "basic disposition test," a "range of experience inventory," a "philosophical outlook test," a food-preference inventory, analyses of their literary tastes and moral precepts, an "odor association test," a "word association test," an argument-completion test, a Wyatt finger-painting test, a projective-drawings test, and a "Rosenzweig picture frustration test." The results were then analyzed by researchers, who plotted them in numerous ways in an effort to develop a psychological portrait of each personality in all its dimensions.

Only after most of this data had been collected did researchers administer the stressful dyadic confrontation. During the year following this session each student was called back for several "recall" interviews and sometimes was asked to comment on the movie of himself being reduced to impotent anger by the interrogator. During these replays, Murray wrote, "you will see yourself making numerous grimaces and gestures" and "uttering incongruent, disjunctive, and unfinished sentences."

During the last year of the experiment Murray made the students available to his graduate-student assistants, to serve as guinea pigs for their own research projects. By graduation, as Kenneth Keniston, one of these researchers, summarized the process later, "each student had spent approximately two hundred hours in the research, and had provided hundreds of pages of information about himself, his beliefs, his past life, his family, his college life and development, his fantasies, his hopes and dreams."

Why were the students willing to endure this ongoing stress and probing into their private lives? Some who had assisted Murray in the experiment confessed to me that they wondered about this themselves. But they -- and we -- can only speculate that some of the students (including Kaczynski) did it for the money, that some (again, probably including Kaczynski) had doubts about their own psychic health and were seeking reassurance about it, that some, suffering from Harvard's well-known anomie, were lonely and needed someone to talk to, and that some simply had an interest in helping to advance scientific knowledge. But in truth we do not know. Alden E. Wessman, a former research associate of Murray's who has long been bothered by the unethical dimension of this study, said to me recently, "Later, I thought: 'We took and took and used them and what did we give them in return?'"

What was the purpose of the experiment? Keniston told me that he wasn't sure what the goals were. "Murray was not the most systematic scientist," he explained. Murray himself gave curiously equivocal answers. At times he suggested that his intent was merely to gather as much raw data as possible about one interpersonal event, which could then be used in different ways to help "develop a theory of dyadic systems." At other times he recalled the idealistic goal of acquiring knowledge that would lead to improving human personality development. At still other times his language seemed to suggest a continued interest in stressful interrogations. For example, Murray explained in his "Notes on Dyadic Research," dated March 16, 1959, that an ongoing goal of the research, which focused heavily on "degree of anxiety and disintegration," was to "design and evaluate instruments and procedures for the prediction of how each subject will react in the course of a stressful dyadic proceeding."

Sometimes Murray suggested that his research might have no value at all. "Cui bono?" he once asked. "As [the data] stand they are nothing but raw data, meaningless as such; and the question is what meaning, what intellectual news, can be extracted from them?" In another context he asked, "Are the costs in man-hours incurred by our elaborate, multiple procedures far greater than any possible gains in knowledge?"

Such equivocation prompts one to ask, Could the experiment have had a purpose that Murray was reluctant to divulge? Was the multiform-assessments project intended, at least in part, to help the CIA determine how to test, or break down, an individual's ability to withstand interrogation? The writer Alexander Cockburn has asked whether the students might have been given the hallucinogenic drug LSD without their knowledge, possibly at the request of the CIA. By the late 1950s, according to some, Murray had become quite interested in hallucinogenics, including LSD and psilocybin. And soon after Murray's experiments on Kaczynski and his classmates were under way, in 1960, Timothy Leary returned to Harvard and, with Murray's blessing, began his experiments with psilocybin. In his autobiography, Flashbacks (1983), Leary, who would dedicate the rest of his life to promoting hallucinogenic drugs, described Murray as "the wizard of personality assessment who, as OSS chief psychologist, had monitored military experiments on brainwashing and sodium amytal interrogation. Murray expressed great interest in our drug-research project and offered his support."

Forrest Robinson reports in his biography that Murray took psilocybin and in 1961 delivered a talk on his experience to the International Congress of Applied Psychology. That Leary had Murray's support was confirmed by Martin A. Lee and Bruce Schlain in their book Acid Dreams: The Complete Social History of LSD (1985).

Quote:Leary returned to Harvard and established a psilocybin research project with the approval of Dr. Harry Murray, chairman of the Department of Social Relations. Dr. Murray, who ran the Personality Assessments section of the OSS during World War II, took a keen interest in Leary's work. He volunteered for a psilocybin session, becoming one of the first of many faculty and graduate students to sample the mushroom pill under Leary's guidance.

Kaczynski thinks he was never given LSD. And after exhaustive research I could find no evidence that LSD was ever used in Murray's research. Nevertheless, whether the research had a defense connection of some sort remains an open question. Although direct evidence of support from a federal defense grant is so far lacking, circumstantial evidence exists: the strong similarity between the OSS stress tests and the later experiments, Murray's association with the OSS, his grant proposal to do research for the Navy Department, and the lack of any clearly explained purpose for the study. Obviously, the dyadic studies would have had considerable utility for the defense establishment, either as a framework for testing recruits or as continuing work on how to improve interrogation techniques.

Two very good posts Jan. Important and sadly I believe near the 'mark'. This is a biggie, even if it happened in 'far-off-most-mindscapes-Norway' As the archtypical 'Ayrian/Nordic' region, it is not strange that though small, the fuse would be attempted to be lit in such an area. As with you, I'm not so sure the fuse, if traced back, goes to Norway...it goes back to wherever the center of power behind Gladio-like structures reside. If the MSM can't get 'this one'.....they'll NEVER get any....this one is too clear...almost as if it were to be made obvious to some.....they are THAT bold now, I guess...... We certainly live in very odd and horrid times. They are so sure of themselves they even plagiarize their past misdeeds and think no one will react. Pirate or notice. :flypig:

History shows that there is always more than one perpetrator, said Stephen Jones, lawyer for Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

Published 5:18 p.m. today. http://www.NRK.no

Several Norwegian commentators have compared Friday's tragedy with what happened in the U.S. state of Oklahoma 16 years ago.

In 1995, killed an American, Timothy McVeigh 168 people when he blew up the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City with a car bomb.

71 years old Stephen Jones was the lawyer for Timothy McVeigh.

Jones believes there are always multiple perpetrators behind such terrorist acts.

- There is always someone who has helped. So I do not think it is likely that one man alone has been able to take so many lives in two different attacks so close to each other, but that he had allies, Jones said to NRK.

McVeigh received help from friend

The bomb in Oklahoma led to 168 killed, among them 19 children under six years who was in a kindergarten in the building.

500 people were seriously injured and 200 buildings had to be dismantled after the bombing.

- There is usually a cell or multiple cells with terrorists. In the Oklahoma City bombing he suspects that 10 to 12 people had involvement in the attack, Jones said.

During the trial in 1997 were three other people accused of helping Timothy McVeigh in the planning of terrorist attack.

McVeigh's buddy from the military, Terry Nichols, was sentenced to life imprisonment for complicity in the terrorist attack.

The couple, Michael and Lori Fortier helped McVeigh with selling stolen guns and counterfeit driver's license for him. They had reduced his sentence by testifying against McVeigh and Nichols during the trial.

- My experience with the case of Timothy McVeigh and history shows that such kind of actions are not one man's work, Jones said to NRK.

McVeigh former attorney Stephen Jones sees several similarities between Timothy McVeigh and Anders Behring Breivik.

- As far as I could see, showed McVeigh never any regrets, says Jones.

He adds that people who carry out such actions, always justifying their actions with the case they are fighting for.

- They lack critical appraisal skills, says Jones, who is overwhelmed by the amount of aggression that can stay in a person.

The experienced lawyer said that the terrorists never have the effect the perpetrator wants.

- It is well proven that people who commit such terrible acts, they believe will create a revolution. But it always turns back on the case they believe in, says Jones.

Adrian Pracon was shot but survived. He tells of a young boy of eleven years who stood up against the perpetrator, and ordered him to stop shooting.
Kirsti.Haga.Honningsoy @ nrk.no
Published 8:02 p.m. today.

There were many who wanted to hear the story of Adrian Pracon from Skien today.
- It is clear that it is painful to be shot at, but it does more hurt to lose their friends, says Pracon to NRK.

The story of Pracon is strong. He swam from the shore in heavy clothing, but had to turn and swim towards the shore again to avoid drowning.

But equally strong is the incident Pracon witnessed - an eleven year old boy who had just lost his father came and told me that his father was dead. Then he went on. It was terrible to hear. The atmosphere was so chaotic that the boy just went further toward the shooter.

Pracon saw that the shooter headed towards the boy. He stoped. He heard what they are talking about. Pracon is completely silent and pretends that he is dead.

- I hear the boy say, "Do not shoot me now, you have killed my dad. I'm too young to die. "

- "Let us be," said the child, according to Pracon.
- The gunman walked away in a different direction.

Pracon was on the way up to the kiosk on Utøya when he first heard a shot followed by more. They then ran and threw themselves into the sea.

- We ran into the water. I did not take off my clothes because I was running back. I threw myself into the water with clothes on, and began to swim. After 100 - 150 meters I realized that this was too heavy.

Pracon had big boots and heavy wet pants. He swam so back again.

- As I swim back again I see that the gunman comes out of the woods and go up the cliff where we swam from. Then he shouted: "Everyone must die! It is their turn to die today! ", he says while he shoots at them swimming.

- You could even see the times he shot. This was a red splash in the water, says Pracon. "No, do not shoot!"

- It was terrible to look at the times he shot, and look at the people who went under just there, says Pracon.

He was exhausted when he swam towards the shore, and had half filled lungs with water.

- The only thing I could cry was: "No, do not shoot!" When he was charging at me. He looked at me a long time, and considered it.

- I do not know if it was because I begged him not to do it, or whether it was because he wanted to kill other individuals. Maybe he was looking for groups tells a candid Adrian Pracon.

45 person are still officially considered as missing. Not all are expected to be dead; as there is great confusion yet as to who was there, killed, removed, in hospital, etc. Many of these missing likely overlap, too [mentioned more than one time].

However, the current number of dead will likely rise quite a bit in the next days. Proportionally to the size of the Norwegian population, this is a greater loss than the USA experienced on 9-11.

A 1,500-page "manifesto" recently published online, entitled 2083: A European Declaration of Independence, has been attributed to Anders Behring Breivik, who has admitted being behind Friday's bloody twin attacks in Norway.

Part of the tract details the author's "personal reflections and experiences during several preparation phases", apparently in the run-up to the 23 July attacks.

Over dozens of pages, the author chillingly and meticulously details his efforts to create cover stories for his plot, to build up his personal fitness levels, and to acquire the weaponry and explosives materials needed.

It also sketches out aspects of his mental preparation for the act he intends to commit.

But according to the Norwegian anti-Islamic citizen journalist website Document.no, to which Mr Breivik himself was a frequent contributor, large parts of the manifesto are copied directly from "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski's own manifesto, with minor changes such as replacement of the word "leftist" by the phrase "cultural Marxist". Kaczynski is serving a life sentence for carrying out a bombing campaign in the US from 1978 to 1995, sending 16 bombs which killed three people and injured another 23, organised from a remote cabin in the state of Montana.

The manifesto begins with an entry for April/May 2002, in which the author claims to have been "ordinated as the 8th Justiciar Knight for the PCCTS, Knights Templar Europe" - the "resistance movement" that elsewhere he claims has been established to combat the "Islamisation" of Europe.

"I joined the session after visiting one of the initial facilitators, a Serbian Crusader Commander and war hero, in Monrovia, Liberia... Our primary objective is to develop PCCTS, Knights Templar into becoming the foremost conservative revolutionary movement in Western Europe [in] the next few decades."

Many organisations today bear the Templar name - charitable ventures, bodies within lay Catholicism and within Freemasonry. White supremacists, apparently including Anders Behring Breivik, also inspired by Knights Templar.

From 2002-2006, the log claims, the author raised funds for his venture - with 2006-2008 spent researching and writing his manifesto.

By the autumn of 2009, the author claimed to be preparing for the next phase.

"I'm creating two different and 'professional looking' prospectuses for 'business ventures'. A mining company and a small farm operation.

"The reasoning for this decision is to create a credible cover in case I am arrested in regards to the purchase and smuggling of explosives or components to explosives - fertiliser. In this regard I created a new company called Geofarm, which might act as a credible cover for such activities."

Geofarm is a farm which has been linked to Anders Behring Breivik.
'Traitors'

In July 2010, the author wrote he had "successfully finished the 'armour acquisition phase'" - including buying a protective case to store the weapons underground in a forest.

The manifesto contains images the author

But it was not an easy operation - the author was plagued by mosquitoes, spiders (with which he says he has "serious issues") and underground rocks while he dug the hole, which took him five hours.

In September 2010, the author says: "I now have to acquire a semi-automatic rifle and Glock [pistol] legally...

"I don't have a criminal record so there is no reason why the police should reject my application."

The author goes on: "I have now sent an application for a Ruger Mini 14 semi-automatic rifle (5.56)... On the application form I stated: 'hunting deer'. It would have been tempting to just write the truth; 'executing category A and B cultural Marxists/multiculturalist traitors' just to see their reaction Tongue."

In October-November 2010, he writes: "I have now made my first order for one of the chemicals required for my initiator from an online-based Polish supplier. I will have to order another 4-5 different ingredients online before I am done.

"Needless to say; this is an extremely vulnerable phase. In fact, it is the most vulnerable phase of them all. If I get through this phase without trouble I will be very close to finalizing my operation.

"I am somewhat concerned but I have credible cover stories for each individual chemical (with the exception of one) should there be any complication."

Fears of detection are repeatedly described in the log.
'Feel great'

He goes on to say: "So what do I do when I'm not working? I'm in the middle of another steroid cycle at the moment, training hard to exceed my 92 kg record from July... I have a more or less perfect body at the moment and I'm as happy as I have ever been.

"My morale is at an all time high and I'm generally happy with how things are progressing. I may create an ideological Knights Templar Youtube movie this winter."

An video titled Knights Templar 2083 and posted on YouTube has indeed been attributed to Mr Breivik.

Later in the same entry: "As for girlfriends; I do get the occasional lead, or the occasional girl making a move, especially now a day as I'm fit like hell and feel great. But I'm trying to avoid relationships as it would only complicate my plans and it may jeopardize my operation."

In November, December and January, the author claims he is undergoing pistol training "to fulfill the government requirement for purchase".

"Documentation and activity requirement was met. I joined my local pistol club back in 2005 for the first time but have only sporadically attended training until November 2010.

"The fact that I joined the club as early as 2005 was a planned move to increase my chances for obtaining a Glock, legally."

He goes on to take rifle training - this time, for his own purposes. A list of ammunition purchased follows, followed itself by a minutely detailed list of other items purchased for his scheme.
'Martyrdom'

Near the end, in a section titled "Social life and continuation of cover", the author explains: "I have been storing three bottles of Chateau Kirwan 1979 (French red wine) which I purchased at an auction 10 years ago with the intention of enjoying them at a very special occasion.

"Considering the fact that my martyrdom operation draws ever closer I decided to bring one to enjoy with my extended family at our annual Christmas party in December."

He goes on: "My thought was to save the last flask for my last martyrdom celebration and enjoy it with the two high class model whores I intend to rent prior to the mission."

After this, the log goes into detailed day-to-day entries for the run-up to his attack, including detailed accounts of labour-intensive explosives preparation.

At the end of the log, it reads: "I believe this will be my last entry. It is now Fri July 22nd, 12.51.

"Sincere regards, Andrew Berwick. Justiciar Knight Commander. Knights Templar Europe. Knights Templar Norway."
