Another day, another Police execution of a person that is NOT threatening their lives nor the lives of anyone else. The hallmark of a police state - summary executions of those at the bottom of the societal ladder and creation of a general aura of fear of the police, and national security state above them. Sadly, this apparent epidemic is not new, it is only the smart phone and other electronic devices, have made possible and easy the citizens recording of previously only visually witnessed occurrences more real for the public - and proof of what went on. I think that recently more of the public are less afraid to record even when near the police or when the police tell them to stop filming [as they very often do]. This has been going on for decades, and perhaps is only slightly worse since 9-11, when all the stops were pulled out and all Police and Security/Intelligence forces told to do what they felt they wanted and needed to - with little or no oversight nor fear of accountability. While individual bad officers [and there are a LOT of them] commit these crimes, more of their fellow officers cover up and even lie for the; however the policies and the lack of discipline to stop such events goes up the chain of command to the very top of American power.
