I like the way the use of the term "Ponzi scheme" is being used to cloak drug money laundering, which is what Stanford was actually doing. Ditto Bernie Madoff.
The public mustn't know that the global banking system is an open sewer and, consequently, a message is gently promoted that some bankers do, from time to time, turn to criminality. But they will be fully punished by the full weight of the law when caught.
