I finished Devil's Chessboard, and I enjoyed the book. I was rather dismayed at one glaring historical inaccuracy:
p. 562 : "The so-called magic bullet that delivered the fatal blow to Kennedy's skull before proceeding on its improbable course later turned up just as magically, in nearly pristine condition, on a stretcher at Parkland..."
It unfortunately makes me wonder about all the other facts asserted confidently by Talbot. It's unfortunate that his editor at Harper didn't closely read this passage, or isn't familiar enough with the facts to catch this one.

"All that is necessary for tyranny to succeed is for good men to do nothing." (unknown)
James Tracy: "There is sometimes an undue amount of paranoia among some conspiracy researchers that can contribute to flawed observations and analysis."
Gary Cornwell (Dept. Chief Counsel HSCA): "A fact merely marks the point at which we have agreed to let investigation cease."
Alan Ford: "Just because you believe it, that doesn't make it so."
