Cmdr. Steel may not have been, perhaps couldn't be, entirely open in that interview. Almost everyone of a certain age remembers where they were when JFK was killed. I was in a gym class football game at school and got near the sidelines and the coach called me over. "They shot Kennedy," he said. If only I'd thought to ask, "Who's 'they', coach?"
