I wonder if the deep state is one beast rather than two or more interests that sometimes agree and sometimes collide? I understand that many in the Pentagon have spoken openly about divisions in foreign policy.
It would make an awful lot of sense for the Neocons to be sent on their way, along with Hillary - because from where I sit they and she, as their chosen gal, are the real future problem. The collapsing empire needs to invoke some intelligence to deal with the future sensibly because perpetual war is the dice thrower of last resort.
