One has to be very careful not to describe Zionism as the only element responsible for the current world situation.
First, certainly most Zionists are not even remotely aware what has been (and is) going on, only a very small number of people sitting at the heart of the octopus are guilty in the sense that they consciously and willingly sold their soul.
The same is true for Christians. And Moslems. And Nihilists. And every other "religious" group.
This inner group has given up and betrayed any religion and humanity.
Then there are a larger number of people, who consciously committed crimes, like paid assassins or Intelligence Officers, who may or may not be religious, but they regarded what they did to be their duty, patriotic or otherwise, or simply did it for a living.
These people are guilty, but in another dimension than the first group.
For this group I can envision a kind of Truth Commission, where by acknowledging a crime, forgiveness can be supplied. It will be painful.
It is essential that the inner core is broken up. If it is allowed to remain intact, as after WWII, the world will be in the same situation again.
More food for thought.

The most relevant literature regarding what happened since September 11, 2001 is George Orwell's "1984".
