Do you have a credible source for this info?
What do you call credible? You mean what's your source? Then, we each judge that info.
May I ask you a question Scott:
Did you read Mattson's book?
I did, that is how I reviewed it. It has over 35 pages of footnotes.
Many of them look like this:"Inquiry into the Testimony of the Executive Director for Operations, Volume 3 Interviews, Interviews of Ken Chapman and Bryan Eagle, NRC Offices of General Counsel and Inspector and Auditor, February of 1978, p. 41 and 51." (p. 361)
Now, in academia, we call this a primary source. Why? Because its the raw data of an official inquiry--its not refined as it would be later in a report. Or in a book. It comes from an original transcript as part of the NRC investigation of NUMEC. Therefore its credible.
So when I ask for a credible source for something, I am trying to find out if the original accusation comes from a source like this, or if its just the musings of some Cuban exiles in Miami or Piper's book. If its from the latter, then I want to know what he in turn based it on since 1) That is a secondary source and 2.) Piper is a biased observer.
In all my work, I try to be as transparent as possible and I also try to be objective as possible. That is why there are over 2000 footnotes in the second edition of Destiny Betrayed and why many are from primary sources and virtually all of them would be deemed credible. I learned this lesson the hard way from milling around in this field for years before I found my bearings. Which really started with the publishing and editing of Probe Magazine.
Which you should actually read.
