The unmentionable - the 'other' Forum
#58
Mark Stapleton Wrote:Anyhow, I see the brazil nut has resurrected a thread more than five years old in order to start an argument about whether the Government tried to cover up the number of casualties when the Japanese bombed Darwin in 1942.

Is this desperation or what? He's like the guy in the Monty Python sketch--arguing in his spare time, and arguing purely for the sake of arguing. Amazing.

It is desperation Mark. In this case aimed at Oz folk.

The EF is well past its useful shelf life and grows dimmer all the time. The Troll-life there - who are banned from here - seek to snare the few unwary souls remaining there into volatile and unpleasantly emotive arguments because they control the forum and can delete posts and threads to suit their own agenda. They enjoy causing mayhem and giggle between themselves like naughty children at their success at duping people into playing their puerile games.

Not responding to their taunts would be complete anathema to them.

The best approach is to leave them to it. Let them scratch their own balls in their own sewer in ever growing frustration and boredom.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
