Worth a try though and they should anticipate all the objections and have an answer for them all.
Somehow, the whole thing kinda smells fishy to me. The core of the CIA for example has been to extend the Anglo-American agenda. The notion that its primary mission is to collect intelligence is a facade.
A segment of the film The Good Shepherd was, for me, more than interesting because of the way it set out the theme that the CIA/Skull and Bones element regarded itself as a sort of secret 'protector' of the Eastern Establishment cum Anglo-American core values of America.
But I can well see that Flynn may want to bring all the intelligence agencies under the direct control of the National Security Adviser and, therefore, the White House. We could see some wonderful turf wars occur in the near future.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
