On Assange's Arrest - First they came for the.......

Quote:A letter sent by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to a former WikiLeaks staff member reveals US officials are attempting to put together a case against Julian Assange based on the Espionage Act.

Crucially, conviction under the 1917 law geared toward protecting the nation's military secrets and most sensitive security matters could result in life in prison or even the death penalty for Assange.

Yes, that is EXACTLY what he and his lawyers and supports feared - if he were brought to the USA he would be executed - perhaps with only a secret trial....if any trial at all. However, whether intentionally or not some of his wikileaks helped GREATLY one person named Donald J. Trump - so his execution or rendition to a black site for torture could get very complex politically...... in fact, I'd say, this is the only good thing going for J.A. now....as his and D.J.T.'s fates are intertwined. The entire threat against him could be negated by action by his own country - but that government is a weak, ass-kissing of the USA, right-wing, do-nothing, anti-democratic one.....sort of like the US now - and all too many countries now. Fascism is in fashion again, like in the 1930s......fight it or get used to it!
