Transnational Totalitarianism Is 'A Comin'...
#4
Peter Lemkin Wrote:Álvaro Marcelo García Linera (born October 19, 1962) is a Bolivian politician.

He was born in Cochabamba and graduated from San Agustín High School. Then, he studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City and became a mathematician. Returning to his native Bolivia, he attempted to put some of his long-held socialist ideals to practice and joined the Katarist "Ayllus Rojos", a series of experimental, Marxist-inspired native communities in northwestern Bolivia. When this attempt at grass-roots politics failed to come to fruition, García Linera opted for a more radical approach. Alongside Felipe Quispe, he organized and worked in the insurgent Tupac Katari Guerrilla Army. After being caught destroying electrical distribution towers in rural La Paz, he was arrested and charged with insurrection and terrorism. While imprisoned, he studied sociology. After his release he worked as a university professor, political analyst, and news commentator. He was a well known academic, known for his support of indigenous and left-wing political movements in South America (in spite of his upper-middle class upbringing and the fact that he is White). He wrote a monograph about the different political and social organizations that were a part of the political rise of the MAS and other indigenous factions, Sociología de los Movimientos Sociales en Bolivia (Sociology of Social Movements in Bolivia), which was published in 2005.[1] He was elected vice president as the running mate to Evo Morales in the 2005 presidential elections. He is an advocate of nationalization of Bolivia's hydrocarbons industry.

From my perspective he is a good guy [being for the People and not the Oligarchy nor the Corporations], along with Morales, and you should have nothing to worry about....
Ho, maybe because you don't live in Bolivia, Peter. But I am.

He was behind many violent actions in Bolivia. For example, the siege to National Congress by MAS party to aprove laws by force. The organization of El Porvenir killings (together with Morales and Juan Ramon Quintana). They want to cover their participation by blaming opponets, even bringing a international "Special comission" to investigate the murders, integrated mostly by Chavez and Morales friends. That give the excuse to illegaly put in jail the elected governor of Pando and place a "provisional governor" (illegal) designed by Morales. That elected governor is jailed in La Paz (illegal according bolivian laws) instead of Pando, have been jailed more than a year without any formal acusation (government has 24 hours to do that) and recently has begining to acuse him in a different court, notorious for been shameles under government control.

But sadly, that "special comission" didn't investigate nothing. All they do is to aprove a shameless document prepared by government, blaming all guilty to opponents. That "investigative report" was so "serious" in his conclussions, that many people reported killed by that report lately come speaking in the media and voting in referendum.

He was also one of responsables for dismantling the bolivian Court of Constitutional Guarantees, which left the citizen defendless against any government abuses. The court is dismanthed almost since tree years and Linera is stopping in congress the election of new members.

The one of the last little "pearls" that we recived from Morales and Garcia Linera is the execution (assasination) of mercenary Eduardo Rosza Flores and other two companion. Journalist investigation has carry to unveil that these mercenaries was hired by government as double-agent, to encourage autonomist to organize a military resistance against Morales abuses, in the hope that two main liders of Autonomist take the bite, so government can prosecute them and put in jail. They didn't, but other people did. Anyway, government still prosecute them based in illegal "investigative asumptions" .
The link with Linera is clear: Linera's brother (Raul) was a former roomate of Eduardo Rosza Flores while they where in Europe and according to e-mails caugthed in Rosza computer, was one of the links between Rosza and government. The special unit that killed Rosza (UTARC) was under direct command of Morales and Linera. The commander of that unit, Walter Andrade, have been caugth in photograps having partyes with Rosza. Electronic e-mails linked Rosza with Alvaro Garcia Linera, etc, etc.

Those are only little examples that I remember now. Many other violent and illegal acts is linked with Garcia Linera. Bolivia is the only "democracy" I know that is ruled by 3 executive powers, and he has much responsability in that.

PD: Reading the official biography you posted, I can see that many things are missing. For example, it didn't say that he was prosecuted as a terrorist AND armed assault robbery to the money of an university. His assault pal, Felipe Quispe, has recently revealed that he also had kidnapped many of his former rich friends in order to claim money rescue for their lifes to their families.

Alvaro García Linera allways claimed his innocence while in prison, and he was free by lack of proofs. But since the felonies are prescripted according bolivian laws, he has publically admitted them braggin in a political speech.

Tell me again I don't have nothing to worry. Sad
