I concur in both respects. It's good to see Kate back and the story itself is, imo, very much not to be trusted.
While there is some interesting evidence of Chinese gold coming to the US in the 1930's which, apparently, was not repaid, I am certain this has absolutely zero to do with Ft. Hood. To my mind it's more about someone unscrupulous creating the right atmosphere for yet another black gold scam and will end up with someone being poorer and someone richer.
That's the black gold market for you --- more scams than you can shake a stick at.
