Social engineering to destroy society...? I sense it as well, even if unintended. TV is a factor; there are others which ought to be enumerated.
And hence my burgeoning interest in ma-ai (the time/space distance in contact and engagement with the other), as well as somatic psychology, and the whole body/mind/spirit thing... which our culture and our sciences tend to ignore or under-appreciate. We cannot move ourselves or others if we do not understand how movement informs cognition or how our own 'mobility' (mentally and socially) is tied to our ability to orient, observe, comprehend, decide, and act.
