While throwing shoes is fairly clear disdain anywhere, it has a very special significance to a Moslem - and considered just about the worst act of contempt possible. Maybe we should start a campaign of everyone sending their old shoes to the Bush White House before he leaves [after piling them up publicly for the media to see].
