It's a bit late for damage control in Chomsky's case because he has no credibility left.
Chomsky's lifelong, romantic attachment to Zionism comes as no surprise. It explains his position on JFK's death and the "who cares" comment re 9/11--the most bizarre comment about 9/11 I've ever heard.
To restate what has become obvious, Zionist Israel was the sponsor of the JFK, RFK, 9/11 trilogy (and plenty more besides), and the reputations of its gatekeepers will now sink as quickly as that of their beloved icon state.
