The ethical consent issue -- at least among members of the US military -- is a moot point since, if memory serves me -- and I can probably dig out the reference if necessary -- that under Rumsfeld (the ex-CEO of Searle then SecDef) and as anointed by Cheney hunting partner, yon Supreme SCOTian Scalia, members of the US military have no recourse if guinea-pigged during their service. Actually, I think the reference is already here under bio-chemical warfare; I recall it was one of the first posts made here by me -- indirectly, by Magda -- if memory is still intact.
