Somewhere there are the figures for the post Soviet mortality rates. I don't have them handy but they were quite staggering. Decades of improvements in all health indicators, maternal/infant deaths, life expectancy etc. All plummeted like a stone in water after the collapse of the Soviet states. Capitalism and for profit basic services are definitely bad for human health.
