It is indeed the book for most of it. There would be some changes but mostly of style rather than substance I think from the thesis to book. But the thesis is freely available as are all thesis.
Are we sure about this? As a writer I would be deeply upset to see my work turned into a pdf and posted online. The printed version is not cheap, I know - twenty quid on Amazon - but he deserves the recompense for such a ground-breaking work.
