Wow, as interesting as the financial commentary was, I found it even more interesting that Tarpley repeated referred to JP Morgan's two attempts to kill FDR, and FDR's ongoing fear of being "rubbed out" or overthrown by JP Morgan. He speculates that fear was the reason FDR didn't nationalize the Federal Reserve when he had the chance and when (according to Tarpley) he should have.
Clearly the business plot that Smedley Butler squelched was one of the episodes, but he referred to at least two. I wonder if the attempted shooting of FDR (which killed Chicago Mayor Anton Cernak) was the other one he's referring to.
This is the first time I've heard anyone so matter-of-factly talking about the attempts on FDR's life and the perps.
