The above probably also belongs in at least two other threads as well, though I was struck by the possible connection to Main Core, PROmis and related matters. [As an aside, my copy of Cheri Seymour's new book from TrineDay is due any day now.]
I wonder, again, as well how many people have read John Grisham's book "The Broker"? http://www.amazon.com/Broker-John-Grisham/dp/0385510454 [Find a cheap used paperback...]
While the book is fiction and is purportedly about "the world's most powerful satellite surveillance system", I have often wondered... because some of the early discussions about PROmis software used the analogy of being so high in the sky that you could see everything (given its ability to "backdoor" any system it was installed on, given its use in economic espionage, et al). I had long set aside my affinity for the character known as Francesca... but now here is mention of a software known as GeoSpatial by a company into the integration of intelligence (which is what PROmis was all about). And the novel by Grisham spins an exciting tale of the intel/politics games involved multiple foreign countries which mimics the shenanigans recounted by that former LA cop from the CIA-linked family who used to be from the wilderness.

"Where is the intersection between the world's deep hunger and your deep gladness?"
