The materialists strike hard at the spirit.
It's a matter of time before we read how these experiments promise to account for all aspects of "mind."
But I'm wondering ... What part of the brain lights up to indicate where the decision to think about a hammer originates?
A part of the brain "controls intentions." Hmmm ...
So who does the intending? Who is the prime mover who sets the process in motion?
The brain is being directed to "intend," or "decide."
By whom? By what?
Seems to this neuro-fantasist that the brain is the middleman.
Sort of the Facilitator. As opposed to the Sponsor. Or the Mechanic.
Which makes the brain a False Sponsor.

If an individual, through either his own volition or events over which he had no control, found himself taking up residence in a country undefined by flags or physical borders, he could be assured of one immediate and abiding consequence: He was on his own, and solitude and loneliness would probably be his companions unto the grave.

You can't blame the innocent, they are always guiltless. All you can do is control them or eliminate them. Innocence is a kind of insanity.
