It's well established that Americans are ignorant of world affairs and national issues, state and local. As a nation we are dumb as fence posts. And there is a smattering of intelligent, informed, inquisitive and well read people.
And a subset would include those who have looked past, around and outside of the mainstream information channels and are aware of reality on a whole other level.
